The whole city was disseminated within seconds. The skyscrapers, bridges, flyovers, train stations, and probably people had dissapeared.
She sighed looking at the darkness enveloping her. She pushed out some slabs of concrete and light peeped through. She hurriedly pushed the other scabs aside. Then lifted the weight preventing her contact with the outside world. She breathed and sighed. Radiation immediately stinged her skin but her body auto compensated the cells generally purging it out. Soon her body was free of radiation and her epidermis were twice as thick and resisting.
She looked at the city a few seconds ago She was in a hotel top notch waiting for someone who was to give her a lead on something. This city was the first refuge created against the now dominating binders as her late friend called it.
She took a few steps forward but crouched low immediately upon hearing the tiny beep sounds. They were a few hundred meters above her. Red light flashed through her eyes as the machine scanned. Her body immediately went cold and she stiffened like a dead person.
The machine passed and continued it's scanning. "Why are they so cruel" She muttered. "After this they still want to crosscheck for survivors."
She watched as laser beams darted about from some of the other machines exterminating the least survivors. Nothing escaped her vision now plus she could see you even a thousand miles across. She picked up on some heat signatures and ran to see who they were. They were struggling. They needed help.
She ran and then chuckled. She had never been tired for once since she woke up. It still amazed her. What new thing about my body will I discover today she said clenching her fist thrusting her self.
The wind rummaged through her hair and her heart pulsed faster. It wasn't her top speed. She knew it. But this speed was more than extraordinary. She was faster than the fastest fighter currently. So she was near super sonic if not super sonic. In seconds she was there. ''I travelled approximately 8 kilometers in ten seconds.'' She said considering doubting herself. ''Last time was three in one minute. Okay that's far from new.'' she said admiring her accomplishment.
She opened up the slabs like they were just dust. In a few moments she could see them they looked bloody but she might be able to take them to the hospital at the edge of town before at most half of them lost their lives. She picked up the first child and something dropped from his neck. She held her mouth gasping. She looked back at the child and then the object.........
