The Celestial Empire

Around midnight, the sky opened and with a large flash of what seemed to be lightning something dark collapsed from the vast abyss.

The Emperor watched from his window, that allowed him to view his land.

" So it begins," he told himself.

When his butler rushed into the room, he swiftly turned around and barked out a few orders.

"He's mine, all mine!" he cried right after the butler left, "I will not repeat my mistake again."

Not long after, a search party was sent out and a messenger came to His Highness' door.

The knock sounded shortly followed by the Emperor's least favourite words.

"Come in!" replied the Emperor, as if he was expecting someone.

"Your Highness," the stranger kneeled infront of the Emperor.

"Stand up, I have no need for this silliness." Oh, how he hated messengers - whether they were bearers of good or ill news.

"Of course, Your Highness."

"Now, tell me, what brings you here, to the Celestial Empire," said the Emperor finding that he was very interested in what the messenger had to say.

"Your Highness, I bring a piece of information you may find very useful, or so the my Lord, His Royal Highness of Navra believes,"

"Go on, I do not have the whole night for this," his impatience reflecting on his words.

"The King had it inscribed in this sealed scroll," he continued, "Does His Highness want me to read it out loud or would they prefer to read it on your own."

"Give that to me," the Emperor suddenly snapped, knowing that this information was nothing a simple messenger could read or even understand.

As he unravelled the scroll, a slight curl of the lip formed on his face. Finally, the news he had long been waiting for.
