Papyrus was walking through the Ruins and Destroyed town, handing out invitations to every monster he met along his way. The invitations to his friend's, eighteen years old Alphys's, coronation. The event was going to happen in a day, and everyone had to be there.

Young Papyrus was accidentally mixing the paper sheets up, accidentally giving two or more to the monsters he already saw because he forgot the faces. But still he was very proud of himself. Just think, HE is "sending" the invitations HIMSELF, not the specially trained people. HE is helping to settle the main ceremony of their small family!

But suddenly all the invitations appeared to be gone. Papyrus spent some seconds standing in the center of the Destroyed town, thinking what to do now. He wanted to spend some more time that far away from his house. So he headed to the very end of the Underground. He went there to see the sun.

The little monster loved the sun very much. The last time he saw it live was a year ago. It was the time when humans sealed the monsters under the mountain. Of course Paps could go back home and watch the sun through the windows of the golden corridor or through the barrier, but the windows are not transparent, and, maybe, when he returns, Undyne will most likely give him another task.

Papyrus had almost reached the hole, through which the sun shone so bright on the flowerbed. But suddenly...

A moan of pain interrupted his thoughts, breaking in his head like a gust. The boy thought he just imagined it, but decided to check it anyway. He walked fast to the place where the sound came from and he understood with terror: he did not imagine it.

A human was lying on a flowerbed, his face facing the ground. Papyrus ran to him, kneeling down, and touched he human's shoulder:

"A-are you alright? Oh! You fell from the surface! Are you hurt?"

The human raised his head slowly. His forehead and nose were bleeding.

"W-who..."

"Oh my stars! Don't worry, human! I'll take you home. Undyne will heal you. Can you get up?"

The human tried to get up, but he was too weak to do it by himself, so he fell down again.

"Let me help you!" – Papyrus managed to lift the human up despite his thin body. The human appeared to be a kid too, just a bit shorter than Pap. He had a very dirty white T-shirt, black shorts with white vertical stripes and light-blue sneakers. His legs were covered in scratches and bruises, his elbows were crashed as if he fell from a bike; he had a bleeding wound on his forehead and his nose seemed to be broken. The two last injuries he got in the fall, apparently.

The skeleton laid the human's arm on his shoulder, not allowing him to fall again.

"Let's go. The way's long but I know a shortcut. You can rely on me!"

"O-ok..." said the human in a hoarse and weak voice.

The two boys started to walk through the pink corridors.

"Look. That's the Ruins", Papyrus didn't stoptalking for a second. "I don't know why they are called so. Mostly the Ruins arejust a long corridor, our people sometimes calling it "the gut". But also wehave a Destroyed town, also known as the Ruined town. Maybe these names weregiven by the ones who settled here, because humans ruined our life and fate.Oh, wait, you are a human too! I'm sorry!"

"Nah, 's nothing"

"Oh, I almost forgot!" – the monster put his hand in his pocket and got a white handkerchief with orange and gold ornaments on the edges. – "Here you go. Wipe the blood away."
