"Hello auntie" Alea said gently
Alea herself doesn't understand why she feels so amiable to this strange omega woman. She puts it down to the residual feelings of the original Alea. Seeing someone that's identical to your mother would make anyone emotional.
The woman's eyes quickly turned red. She let out a sob while embracing Alea. Alea could only coax the crying omega, hoping that she could feel more at ease. After a while her aunt seemed to have calmed down and sorted out her emotions, she apologised to Alea with a slightly hoarse voice.
"I'm sorry my darling. I lost my composure. I hope you can forgive this old lady for bringing down the mood on such an important day"
Alea said that she had nothing she should apologise for. She chatted with her aunt for a while, telling her about some of the interesting things she had learned in the last few weeks when preparing for the wedding or the effects that becoming an alpha had on her life.
Delia's smile never left her face. When listening to Alea speak, it was as if she had gone back in time to when she and her sister were children again. It's surprising how alike a mother and daughter can be. She has the same inquisitive yet level-headed temperament. She once again verified that her choice was correct. Her sister would be proud to see what a wonderful person her baby girl had become. As her eyes started to redden again, the two heard the door of the inner room open and watched as the matchmaker walked out with a petite female omega with a bridal veil covering her head.
Delia saw her daughter coming out and led her over to Alea. Alea knew what the next step was, so she turned around and bent down allowing her fiance to climb onto her back. She stood up feeling like the omega on her back was weightless. After saying good bye to her aunt she carried Raya towards the sedan chair.
Raya was not as calm as Alea at the moment. This was the first time she had been in such close contact with an alpha. Although she couldn't see what Alea looked like she could tell that she was very large. She was a little worried, she knew from a young age that she wanted an emotional foundation for her and her marriage partner, but with her father busy with his official duties and her mother grieving over her aunts death. She didn't have anyone that could accompany her to see her fiance. She could only hope that her fiance was not the type of alpha to force an unwilling omega just because they were legally married.
After Alea put her fiance into the sedan chair, she once again bid farewell to her aunt and uncle who were both standing at the front of their official residence. By this time the crowd had gathered around and were chatting and cheering. Her uncle allowed anyone that wanted to come and have some food and wine to celebrate his daughters marriage, and Alea mounted the horse to prepare for the returning journey. The team set off firecrackers and gave out wedding candy and silver teals making the crowd even happier.
The journey back was just as smooth as the one there, but Alea slowed down the team so that her fiance would be more comfortable in the sedan chair. When entering the city the team first walked around the whole city before returning to the estate. After getting off the horse Alea went over to help her fiance down from the sedan chair, while no one could see she stuffed some wedding candy into Raya's hands and said.
"Eat this to sate your hunger, and I'll find you something proper to eat later on".
Raya nodded her head. This was the first time she had heard Alea's voice clearly. It was a mix of feminine neutrality and a slight gruffness. Before she had time to think further she felt a piece of fabric pushed into her hand, she followed the pull of the fabric and was led towards the main hall.
After crossing the brazier, bowing in the hall, sending the bride to the bridal chamber, drinking with relatives and family acquaintances, Alea was about to fall asleep standing up, but she still didn't forget what she promised her newly married wife, so after she escaped from the main hall she made a beeline for the kitchen to find something to give her wife. Thankfully there were plenty of leftovers so she made up two plates and returned to the bridal chamber. She knocked on the door, paused for a moment, then entered. She saw her bride sitting where she had left her earlier that day. Though it seems her bride had sent the matchmaker and her servants away for the night.
She placed the plates on the table and walked over to her bride. She grabbed the weighing pole and lifted the veil. When seeing each other's faces both Alea and Raya were stunned. Although they knew they were related they didn't think their resemblance would be so uncanny. Like two sides of the same coin, one had sharper facial features and the other had softer features. Seemingly feeling the awkwardness, Alea asked Raya to come to the table and eat. The meal was quiet nothing could be heard except the clinging of chopsticks against bowls and the faint sound of chewing. After they had finished dinner they decided to change out of the cumbersome clothes and wash up. Fortunately the servants had left after filling the bath, although the water was only warm it still held enough temperature for the two to take a bath separately. After Alea came back from the bathroom she saw that Raya was sitting on the bed reading a book. She finished drying her hair, pulled a chair over to the bed, sat down and said to Raya.
"Let's have a chat".
