Chapter 1: The Beginning

One day in Fresno CA, There lived a 13 year old non-binary trans person almost 14 named Skyler, he always wore sweaters even on hot days and states he doesn't feel hot, he has brown hair and eyes and he always wore headphones even if asked to take them off. He has a Umbreon named Pyro on his side, he was known for being as mysterious as Skyler but one thing for sure, he was fast when it came to protecting Skyler. Way to fast in fact he was able to knock out other Pokémon or trainers just by spinning around them and making them dizzy this happened way to many times even with Skyler. Skyler was always mysterious but he could pull up a good beat when it came to music, he had always liked music as a kid it goes the same with nature. Pyro on the other hand is quite confusing when it comes to his interests, despite of being a Umbreon he acts like a cat and likes to distract Skyler so he gets attention from Him, this leads to Him getting mad and almost never works.

Skyler is a middle schooler in fact but rarely goes out for the safety for his Umbreon and other pokemon, more importantly Pyro because her sister gave him Pyro when he was just a small Eevee, However there's a point where your trainer has to leave to get something. And on this day, Skyler would never go out again. Skyler was walking to school, she kept Pyro in his backpack because he hated being alone and she ends up bumping into someone after not paying attention. "Hey! Watch it you loner freak" Skyler stayed quiet like she always does, however he stared at the person after realizing who it was, it was his elementary school enemy, Jack. They both stared at each other before his enemy started mocking her, this continued until Skyler had said something for the first time in years. "Enough. I'm not dealing with this anymore.". That caused everyone to jump back after hearing how stern and angry his voice was. "Now if you excuse me I have to leave. Just be lucky you didn't say anything about Pyro." She left after saying that. "Jesus, I didn't know she was that stern." said one kid. "I'm going to find your weakness one day, just you wait." Jack stated and watched Skyler leave the building

*Fresno California, Household 2:58 PM*

Skyler had dropped out of his school all together and he didn't care if her parents are going to call "her" a failure. Hell, he didn't care all together because at least someone would understand why he dropped out. His sister. She understood everything that he was going though.

"I wonder, what will my future be?"

His thoughts were stopped by a paw touching his foot

"Hm?"

It was Pryo, his white, blue and black Umbreon.

Pryo made the usual sound he made whenever he wants attention. Luckily Skyler wasn't busy.

"Alright bud, come on." he picked him up and patted his head as he was searching on the internet

For a brief summary of the world and how Skyler is the one of the only one who trains these creatures.

When Skyler was just 11 a little situation happened. Okay it wasn't little. It was a worldwide event. Everyone knows what they are just not many people happen to have a Pokémon or two. Even for the ones who do they have to seem cool but that didn't happen to Skyler. Skyler couldn't even care less about popularity anyways. Anyways for that worldwide event. Something happened that caused the pokemon to be in the real world. The cause is still unknown to this day.

There was a distant sound in the hallway and Skyler immediately knew who it was

"Dinorak... Did you get scared by something again?"

Dinorak, a Arcanine that Skyler had since she was just a small growthlie. She was quite a scarey cat but she was getting used to some things, however this doesn't apply to all things

Dinorak did get scared. Over a remote. And started freaking out and running away.

Skyler helped calm down Dinorak and put her in his room where she laid down next to Pryo.

He thought to himself after sitting back down

"It's only a couple of days Skyler. You have to stay strong for your best buds."
