Amai's pov
Me and Yoi ran into the shelter, "Amai, we got more food than last time! we probably won't have to go outside for the next couple of weeks!" Yoi yelled excitedly. I coughed. The Earth wasn't as survivable as it used to be. Ever since the pollution got too extreme, global warming went up, and the fish and animals started dying. People started disappearing (also known as dying from starvation). I believe me, Yoi, and Inu are the only ones left, and if there was survivors, there was little.
"Ichi, ni, san" I started counting the cans of food. "Are you counting in Japanese?" Yoi questioned. "Yeah? Is that a problem?" I replied. "No, I just didn't know you counted in Japanese." Yoi replied back. I continued counting in Japanese, because, why not? Our names are in Japanese anyways, my name means sweet, Yoi's name means good, and Inu's name literally means dog. Not to mention that Inu is a Shiba Inu, which is a Japanese dog. For some reason, I just decided to say a sentence to Yoi just for fun, " 君は臭いねずみだ, Yoi." I said. " Hey! what's that supposed to mean, I don't know Japanese!" Yoi yelled angrily. " It means, "You are a stinky smelly mouse, Yoi" I translated. "HEY-" "BARK" Inu interrupted Yoi. "Good girl! If you didn't interrupt Yoi, I might've just gotten in trouble!" I praised Inu as I petted her. "That interruption will not save you for the consequences that you owe!" Yoi yelled. "whatever, lets just put these cans away." I told Yoi.
So we started to put the cans of food away in the shelves. Strawberry, peaches, pineapple, apple, and more. After we were done, I checked the time on my watch, 9:30 pm. "hey" I said, Yoi and Inu looked in my direction. "maybe we should go to bed right now, my watch says it 9:30 pm." "oh, ok." Yoi answered. After we got done with bedtime preparations, we got into the air mattress. "lights out!" I said, turning off the light.
