Author's note: No beta. Random thoughts.

He's holding a piece of a off-white paper, checked with 'no' as the answer of the RVSP for the wedding. He would be hypocritical to say he didn't think she could do this. He was hope she would not.

They had promised each other to be part of the big moments in lives. It's his wedding, without question, a big moment in his life.

Since Paula had demand him to chose between working with Donna or their relationship —he chose Paula, things with Donna aren't the same.

They spent a few months without talking but slowly they initiate to go to the same events and tolerate each other—in fact, Harvey was the one trying his best to convince her to talk. Until the day he invited her to dinner, which ended both spending late night talking and after that, they were back as friends.

Not the same friendship, thought. They knew things wouldn't never be the same between them. But they prefered to be friends than being strangers.

So, when he read she answered 'no' he felt hurt. And if he could something to change her mind, he would do. It's because if that he's in front of the building since she's working for Stu —she's thriving in her career, maybe more than if she had stayed at the Williams Wheeler Bennett Litt Specter.

"Hey!" She says in the instant she see Harvey at the entrance . "What you doing here?" She frowns.

"Hey! Can't a friend say 'Hi' to another?" He teases, while steps towards her.

"Oh, of course they can. But I know you, Harvey. You up to something." She explains.

Her words hitting him like a knife in his chest. She knows him, better than anyone else in the world. Yet she has no clue why he's there. In another time she would know.

He takes the piece of papel in his pocket and show to her and her semblance changes immediately.

"What's the matter?" She steps away from him, running her eyes for a cab.

"Why you're not coming?" He walks to her direction, putting the RVSP back into his pocket.

She doesn't answer. Her eyes are fixed on the streets.

"Can we grab some coffee?" He asks pedantic.

He gets her attention and he can see her eyes grease by the tears she's holding.

"I have a lot to do, Harvey. I'm heading home. We can talk later."

To his convenience, the cabs in New York seems to be all taken and she can't find none free for her.

"What's happening, Donna?" He is not settle for anything less than why.

He wants her there. To celebrate how he mature he's now. He's in a relationship for over 2 years. Building a family of his own.

"What's happening?" She shrugs. "What's happening is that I tried my best to cut you out of me. I'm trying, truly trying-" She closes her eyes. "To be happy for you, Harvey. But it's impossible to be happy for you while I'm feeling this miserable as if someone is ripping my body and soul. I always liked to thing we had a piece of each other hearts. And yours that belongs to me, I can't let it go. I feel as if I'll always be a little bit yours." She closes her eyes, pressing the top of her nose.

"Donna—" He steps closer to her as she deflates and signers with her hand for him to stop.

"We won't have this conversation." She breathes, and asks for a cab that is coming and it's available. "I'm sorry. But I can't. I hope you understand to not oblige me to put you first once again. We're past this."

He nods. The car pulls and she goes inside. He knows if he decides to go on with the wedding this is going to be the last time he sees her. A life with a bit of her, he can deal with. A life without her at all, it's something he certain can't picture. With that in mind, he knows exactly what do to.
