I wake up from the sound of my Iris vibrating. I stretch my arms and legs as I yawn, shutting my eyes as tight as I can and then opening up wide. I reach for my Iris and read the blurry message on the screen. My eyelids widen as I take in what Lance had sent me.

Lance- SOS DO NOT FOLLOW ME

I reread the message a few times before typing out a reply.
Me- What's going on!?
Me- Lance???
Lance- I thought I told you to stay away from electronics...
Me- I needed to keep my Iris in case you called.
Lance- Turn off your device and stay where you are.

He doesn't respond any more after that. I quickly wake up Ana and she rolls over to groan at me. "Why would you wake up such a beautiful girl before she reaches her needed beauty sleep?" She groggily opens her eyes and I pull her up to a sitting position. Kyira peeks at us through her messy hair and shushes us. I look back at Ana and show her my Iris. She reads it and rubs her eyes, "what in the world are the guys doing at their meeting? Do you even know where they went?"

"No, but I'm curious," I put my Iris down on my lap, "I was hoping you would know. He keeps these meeting areas a secret."

That's the only thing he keeps secret from me. He doesn't like talking about anything regarding the potential malfunctions of his technology or the meeting specifics. He says he wants to keep me out of it as much as he can so that if something does go wrong, I'm not in the crossfires. There's been times he's almost told me but something in his eyes flashes with worry, almost fear. I don't push it because I know he had already lost me once after the games and he doesn't want the same thing to happen again.

Ana shakes her head. "I don't know where they meet. Jeon doesn't tell me much either. Not that I care, really." She combs through her hair with her fingers, staring off at the fireplace behind me. Her eyes flicker to something else behind me and then inhales loudly, "well whatever it is, it sounds like the guys have it under control. Maybe just listen to them and turn off your device."

I pout and look down, "I've been through a lot with all of these unknown messages, my closet malfunctioning, and creepy feelings of being watched." Ana looks at me and listens as I continue, "I don't mind trusting Lance to solve everything but I need to know at least what's going on. If he doesn't tell me the full story, how will I know how to respond to situations when it comes at me?"

She stays silent for a moment and then asks me what I meant by feeling like I'm being watched. I told her of the shadows I think I see in the dark and what I can only describe as weird glitches on reflective surfaces and creep me out. The messages definitely feel like someone is watching my every move.

Ana looks around the room, glancing over Kyira who is listening to us while wiggling her toes in curiosity. "Y/N, I think we should listen to them and turn off our-"

My device vibrates, signaling that I got another text message.

Unknown- Nevermind! Roldan took my cell and didn't want any girls ruining the men only meeting. I want you to come back to Island R so we can explain some things.

I read it out loud and Ana grabs my phone. She reads out Lance's message that comes in next.

Lance- I'm sending over my coordinates. Follow me!

She texts back why his message came from a different number and he quickly responds that the signal is weak and it must had opened an unknown group chat.

Lances messages are contradicting each other and don't make sense. He is not one to change moods that quickly. His tonality of his messages also seem different as he never sends messages in an upbeat manner for no reason like that. Ana looks confused and puts down my device with wrinkled eyebrows. I watch as she shuts her device off, then mine. I protest but she puts it in her pocket and demands to do the same to Kyira's. When I try to take mine back, she quickly grabs my shoulders and looks seriously at me, "don't you find his messages weird? When has Lance ever changed his mind on something so easily like that? He's like the hardest head out there!"
