Prompt:"Tommy’s eyes watched the streams of people flood past until an opening in the people appeared. It showed the other side of the market, a pub popular with the vampires of the market district. Tommy avoided it like the plague. But he couldn’t help being fixated on it now, icy horror sinking in his stomach. Something inside him was drawing him to the red eyes that seemed to glare straight through Tommy. They were locked together, icy blue gaze on a blood-red. Tommy gulped, pushing down the terror in his throat. Shit. This was not good."
Who knew running from the most dangerous vampire in the city could cause so many problems? Conflict with the rivalry coven, getting into trouble with witches, and of course, being hunted relentlessly by his sire. Clearly, his sire wasn't going to give in, and neither was Tommy. He was never going to stop running.
That was the plan. Until everything came crashing down around him. Tubbo, the only person in the world he trusts, is threatened and Tommy is faced with risking his freedom to keep him safe.
/Or dark vampire fic!The Allium market was intense. It was a Saturday and there were a lot of people. But it was somewhat safer this way. People from all across the city packed into the tight market, mingling and meshing, lines of crowds wiggling along the cobbled streets like snakes, greedily eyeing up the goods for sale. It was colourful and bright, a treat to the eyes, if you weren’t overwhelmed by such sights.
For a young vampire, it was. To Tommy, the sounds were screechy and explosive and the smells nauseating. It was a strange mix of senses as if someone had fumigated the air with a sickly mixture of overly priced perfume, fish and the intoxicating aroma of people. He wrinkled his nose as he weaved through, disgusted by the grim air.
His proximity to mortals was considered a danger at this age. Tommy was a fledgling, so his senses and control were not as honed in as a full-fledge vampire. Being around this many humans was difficult for Tommy. He could sense all the bodies around him, the blood pumping under their skin and the life humming within. Tommy always had this tension when he could smell human blood. It made him want to pounce on the closest human, but he had to suppress that feeling. It was a violation of his morals and wouldn’t be very good for keeping his head down.
Being in hiding was easier than you’d think. Just keep your head down, don’t draw too much attention to yourself. Pretty simple, right? Well, it had nearly been a year and Tommy hadn’t been caught.
Tommy was getting good at avoiding getting caught. The first step was avoiding other vampires. The market district was normally crawling in them, but you had to know how to weave through them. All the vampires in his city knew his face by now, and so he had to be extremely careful. Luckily, his instincts warned him of their presence, like a radar going off in his mind that danger was just around the corner.
Though it wasn’t like Tommy hadn’t had his run-ins. The vampires sent after him were brutal, each wave getting stronger. He was clearly pissing someone off now the way they sent in practically an army to deal with him. The last run-in had been the worst, leaving Tommy crawling out of the fight barely holding onto his life. A few cuts and bruises and a large gash on his side that refused to heal.
The bastard had used a silver blade, magically enhanced to not kill but incapacitate a vampire. He’d been close too. Tommy was just the fucking best!
“Was that the best that you could do?!” He screamed at no one in particular, defying the stars at every turn. He wasn’t going back. He was going to make sure of that.
Though not unusual to find vampires in the market, it was a popular part of the week and everyone enjoyed the atmosphere, Tommy noted the inordinate amount of Vampires lingering around. Perhaps there was something going on? Or they were just out for a casual Saturday at the market? Either way, it wasn’t good for Tommy.
