Boi why am I back? Who knows I am losing my will to live low-key
"Mama..." Your son called from your private study's door frame. Rubbing his eyes adorably while you walked over to him, kneeling down to his height.
"Oh, my little pheonix! What are you doing up so late?" You asked him. Voice still very much awake.
"Sorry Mama. I couldn't sleep." He apologized but you only giggled lightly.
You picked him up in your arms and went to your window, where the sky was bright and starry, unlike the rest of the mansion.
"Did you know, my dear, that the stars flow like rivers to where the heavens reside?" You asked the little boy in your arms. Watching him tap his chin in thought.
"No! Papa didn't tell me that!" He enthusiastically said, eyes closed, giving you a smile.
You laughed heartily with your hand slightly away from your mouth. "Hoho! Of course dear, never trust your father with astronomy nor astrology. He's better at making wine anyway!" You told your son, laughing while he too started to giggle.
"In all seriousness dearie, you need to get to bed! You'll get bags under your eyes like Mama does!" You told him, hand upon your chest.
"But I think mama looks pretty with her eye bags! Even Papa agrees!" He told you. You shook your head and pushed Diluc's head into your chest.
"Would you like a lullaby my dear pheonix?" You asked, voice all soft and motherly.
"Yes please Mama. I want to hear your pretty singing again." He begged, even if you never really sang, you couldn't resist your son's or husband's requests.

"It always feels so quiet in the dark.
It always feels so stark.
How silence grows under the moon.
And it's always gone so soon.
I used to think that I was bold,
I used to think love was for fun,
Now all my stories have been told.
Except for one.""As the stars start to align,
I hope you take it as a sign,
That you'll be okay,
Everything will be okay.
And if the Seven Hells collapse,
Although the day will be my last,
You will be okay.
When I'm gone, you'll be okay.""The day that you arrived the sun went black,
An artificial night.
You came and stole away the light,
And put it in your eyes.
How could I possibly suspect,
That you'd eclipse the midnight sun?
I thought that I knew all the moons,
But then you pulled me back to one.""If the stars ever align,
I hope you'll take it as a sign,
That you'll be okay,
Everything will be okay.
And if the Seven Hells collapse,
Although the day will be my last,
You will be okay.
When I'm gone, you'll be okay."-------------
Even if your son couldn't see you right now as he was off in dreamland, you sobbed. Thinking about leaving him hurt you deeply. Let's not forget the love of your life either.
You stopped the tears, wiped them away, and walked to Diluc's room.
When you arrived you placed him down on his bed, and placed a small kiss on his forehead and left to go back to your room. Not noticing Adelinde was behind you after you closed the door.
"My lady, are you alright?" She asked worriedly.
"I'm alright Adelinde... It's just that.."
"I don't want to leave these two." You cried silently, staring up at the ceiling as the maid looked down at the ground, not knowing what to say.
"Adelinde, can you do something for me?" You asked, turning around wiping your tears once again.
"Of course my lady, anything you wish." She determinedly agreed, face serious.
"I will be writing letters to my little pheonix tonight. Give them all to him when he becomes 25, alright?" You informed her. Sad smile across your face.
"Of course my lady... I'll help you prep for your departure." She bowed, small tears at the side of her eyes.
You thanked her, as she prepped a few items such as a cloak and a bag of Mora you started writing... And writing...
