Niall’s POV

“Welcome to Maths 101, in this class you’ll be learning the fundamentals and applic- Niall Horan. Please turn around, stop talking, and pay attention.” The teacher, Professor Bates yelled.

I turned around, from talking to Kyle, my brother, and faced the teacher, “Sorry Prof.” I smiled my ‘get out of trouble’ smile.

He didn’t look impressed. Rather more annoyed than anything.

“Niall.” He warned.

Maybe it only worked at my old school, because all my teachers were females.

“Sorry.” I mumbled, slouching down in my seat.

As he continued telling us about the ‘fun’ time we’re all going to have together this year.

“Finally!” I exclaimed to Kyle. “The class is over!”

I felt an arm wrap around my shoulder.

And I looked away from Kyle, and up to the newest member of our group, to find Liam.

I shrugged off his arm, and ignored the face of hurt he made when I did. He’s probably just kidding around anyway, so why the hurt?

Sure, he’s cute, and I think I might have a small crush on him, but I barely know him. I didn’t really get the chance to learn about him because I didn’t really let him talk yesterday.

“Hey Liam.” I greet him.

“Hi Niall. How was maths?” He asked me.

How did he know I had maths? I never told him, and I don’t know anyone who would tell him, because I don’t know anyone.

“How’d you know I had maths?” He smiled.

“I asked the main office for a copy of your time table.” He answered

“Why?” I questioned. I’m feeling kinda weirded out right now.

“Because, if you ever need me, or I ever need you, I know where to find you.” He said sweetly.

“Alright, well me and Kyle were-” I turned around, to try and face Kyle, when I realized he was gone.

“Or not.” I say to myself, as I face Liam again.

“Niall would you like to sit with me a lunch?” He asked curiously.

“Well, I don’t exactly know anyone else, I don’t know where my brother went, and I don’t want to sit alone. So why not.” I answer.

“Is it really that bad to sit with me?” He queried sadly.

“What? No! It’s just- I um. No, it’s not bad.” I stutter.

“Great! So you will sit with me.” He said happily, grabbing my hand, entwining our fingers, and pulled me towards the cafeteria.
