"pamparampam!", she heard a soft giggle at the end of the word, she stared at a flower shop at the end of the mall, those roses reminded her of her mother. "I want them in red and white!", she said to the Lady who was selling the roses... "thank u!" she said receiving the flowers it felt warm as if her mother was there holding her, and smiling at the flowers. She was on her way to visit her mother's grave stone. The day Jewel was born her birth mother passed away, so she was given to her aunt. A very cheerful woman, with a big heart. Though unmarried, she took care of Jewel like she was her own, she would work so hard, to feed and clothe her, send her to school and also manage to pay the rent. It was hard for her and Jewel knew, the burden was too much and jewel felt it, she wanted to help her but she was still too young. Her mother never let her halk like other kids did, her mother would look so cheerful during the day, but at night she would cry herself to sleep every night. When she turned two years old her mom got married and things became slightly easier the only adjustment Jewel didn't like was the fact that, she had to put her matrass on the floor and sleep because the bed was too small for all of them but it wasn't long and her dad had a well paying job, and with the money they had, they moved into a new house "you don't have to sleep on the floor anymore honey!", her mom said relieved she didn't have to see her child sleep on the floor anymore. "Pamparampam!", she didn't know what that meant but she knew it was her mother's nickname for her, it was weird, but it was perfect. When she was three years and five months, her mom fell ill, Jewel would sit by her every single day after school, excited to tell her about her new subjects and new teachers, but never new friends. Her mom had been treated so badly by friends that she didn't want her daughter to go through the same thing so, but never had she deprived her daughter from having friends. "Her mother held her little hands gently, I love you so much, always and forever remember that honey!", she said with a gentle smile as tears rolled down her eye... "pamparampam!", they both laughed, "get well and come home soon mom!", her mother nodded as she waved her little girl goodbye for the last time.
"Jacqueline!", Jewel smiled as she stared at the grave stone, "I wish I could turn back time, maybe there was something I could do!" she sighed " but a friend once told me that, life is for the living and all I can do is go forward, and make you proud because you are always watching!, she said you maybe gone physically but u live forever in my heart and memories and that is enough " she smiled "Yes mom!, I have friends now and they are not as bad as you thought they were, I wish you were here I could introduce them to you!", she said wiping the tear that rolled down her cheeks. A smile formed on her lips, "I, Jewel Norman, will live my life honoring the memories of you, Jacqueline Norman", she giggled a little placing the flowers on her mother's grave stone and though she had been doing this for the past fifteen years, she still felt the wound in her heart, it had healed and it was just a scar that was left, but that scar was still hurting. She hesitated a little bit before she walked away, she looked back at the grave stone and it suddenly felt warm. It was as if her mother was there holding her hand and she could swear she heard her "pamparampam!", she smiled, "I hear you mom! I hear you!", she turned around with relief in her heart. She felt some kind of peace dawn over her.
