Prologue

"You're a complete disappointment to this family!"

Halos mabingi ako nang umalingawngaw sa tainga ko ang sigaw na iyon. I tried to move a nerve but it seems like my body wasn't on the mood to cooperate. I can feel my lips shaking and in any seconds I'll burst into tears.

I want to hold my trembling knees to support it because I can feel that any minute now it will collapse. I mentally shook my head.

"What else can you do aside from being a trash and stupid, huh?"

I tried to look at their faces but my sight was too blurry to do it. I can feel the warm drops of tears flowing from my eyes to my cheeks and I can do nothing to stop it now. I just decided to look down and there, I silently wiped my tears.

I can feel footsteps of someone towards to the place where I was standing. I immediately wiped all the tears from my cheeks. I sighed and slowly lift my head up.

Nang maiangat ko na ang paningin ko ay isang sampal ang bumungad sa akin. Parang humiwalay ang ang kaluluwa ko sa katawan ko sa sampal na iyon. Pakiramdam ko ay parang nahulog ako sa isang napakalalim na kawalan at halos malunod ako sa lalim nito.

Biglang nawala ang mga sigaw, nawala ang mga tao at wala akong ibang makita kung hindi ang madilim na kawalan lang.

"Help!" Mula sa pagkapikit ay bigla akong napamulat ako at habol ang hiningang umupo sa higaan.

I problematically held my forehead. Doon ko lang napansin na tagaktak na ang pawis ko sa noo. Nang hawakan ko ang leeg at batok ko ay parang isa akong atletang tumakbo nang napakalayo sa sobrang pawis ko.

"Fuck that nightmare," I whispered to myself.

I reach for my phone near my bed to check the time. "2:00 A.M," I murmured and scratched my forehead.

I wore my pair of slippers and lift my weight on my feet to get some water to drink and to wipe those thoughts of my nightmare off.

Kumuha ako ng tubig mula sa water dispenser, matapos niyon ay umupo ako sa high chair at binuksan ang screen ng cell phone ko. Dahan-dahan kong ininom ang lamang tubig ng baso.

Bumungad sa akin ang sandamakmak na notifications mula sa iba't ibang social media accounts ko. No new, I get used to it. Some news popped on my screen also, I saw my name being mentioned on that one broadcasting company talking about my latest Instagram post and about other celebrity’s comments.

I just smiled and scrolled down. I drank all the water on the glass and I was about to go back and stand up when one news caught my attention.

'LOOK: The Mayers Clan celebrated their Holidays together.'

My teeth gritted after reading the news and seeing the photos attached to it. I sarcastically smirked and routed my gaze sideways. I pressed my tongue behind my cheeks, inside my mouth and nodded slowly.

"Oh, together..." I whispered to myself. Surprisingly, I didn't burst into tears. I shrugged. Umalis ako mula sa pagkaka-upo sa high chair at dumiretso na sa kama.

I stared at my phone for a second before I decided to turn it off. I playfully jumped to my fluffy bed and close my eyes.

My somber eyes started to roll down and I murmured, "I hope the day would come that I am not hurt seeing them being happy without me."
