Chapter 1: The Elemental spirit descends!

Spacequake a mysterious phenomenon that causes vibration of space around an area leading to an explosion and erasing everything in their range without a trace and leaving only a crater behind. Their size can vary greatly. At their smallest, they can create a crater only a few meters in radius. The first and largest known Spacequake the Eurasian Sky Disaster, it destroyed a large portion of Eurasian continent (including portions of the Soviet Union, China and Mongolia) and took 150 million lives in the process. Six months after the first incident, this phenomenon reoccurred in every continent, the north pole, the ocean, and islands, albeit on a much smaller scale. It is estimated that there were around 50 recorded Spacequakes during this time period.

For Japan, this occurrence was named the South Kanto Sky Disaster causing a sphere of scorched earth to materialize over a zone south of Tokyo and north of Kanagawa prefecture. The subsequent destruction would cause the area to rebuild with technology that could withstand Spacequakes, which then led to the creation of underground shelters to protect the populace. After the South Kanto Sky Disaster, the area was spared from Spacequakes for an extended period of time. However, 25 years later, the phenomenon would make a repeated significant resurgence in Tengu City, Japan.

Following the siren, a mechanical voice that paused after each word, probably for ease of understanding, rang out

"—This is not, a drill. This is not, a drill. The foreshock, has been observed. The occurrence, of a spacequake, is predicted. Persons in the vicinity, please move to the nearest shelter, immediately. I repeat—"

After hearing the Spacequake alarm, the civilians rushed to the nearest underground shelters

After the civilians left for the shelters...

Roads without moving cars, a town devoid of all signs of people

On the streets, in the parks, even in the convenience stores, not a single person was left

The presence of the people that had been here until just a few moments ago was left behind, but the actual figures of those people had disappeared. It was like a scene from a horror movie

Since the disaster thirty years ago, it was this Tengu City that was carefully redeveloped while nervously dealing with the spacequakes. Never mind the public facilities, even the percentage of normal families owning a shelter was the highest

A street and the buildings in it where suddenly engulfed in a blinding light

It was followed by a deafening explosion, and a fierce shockwave

The street that was right there moments ago...

Without even a trace, it had 'disappeared'

No matter what metaphor you used, it wouldn't be a joke.

It was as if a meteorite had crash landed

No, if anything, it was as if everything on the ground had completely vanished

The street in front had been scraped off in the shape of a shallow bowl

And, in the corner of the street that had become like a crater

And in that crater was a girl with her eyes closed... It was Lily

Opening my eyes I saw destruction... I was standing in a crater and outside the radius of the crater was ruined buildings
