13 years ago - No perspective

Suddenly, Jo finds herself awake after a deep sleep. She and her family were traveling for almost 21 hours, and her body needed some rest. She's been awake almost all the flight, the excitement to see her new house and her new bedroom was enough to keep her awake all that hours. At the end she fell asleep for a few hours but when they arrived at LAX, the moment she saw so many people, all that tiredness was long gone again because of the excitement.

Katherine, her sister, was not in the same mood. She was excited, yeah, but when Josephine's older sister doesn't get at least 8 hours of sleep you should know better than annoy her, because she will be surely in a bad mood. Kath was a little bit sad for leaving Perth back. She had all her friends for the last 9 years there, so that change in her life would be harder for her than to her younger siblings given she has more moments and memories there. But she was excited to make new friends and get to know all the beautiful places LA has.

Dylan has been sleeping most of the time. The time he wasn't sleeping, he was talking with his sister Jo-Jojo how he likes to call her-or playing some game in his Nintendo. Dylan loves football. So much that the first thing he wants to do in his first day at school is get in the team. That passion is something he shares with his twin Jo, the only difference is that he likes to play it and Jo likes to watch it. He didn't have much friends back in Perth, just like Jo, but both of them will miss the few they had. The only thing that keeps them both happy is that they still have each other.

Josephine, Dylan and Katherine are waiting with their mother, Elizabeth, on a bench for their father, Stephen, to come back. He is renting a car until they buy a new one so they all can finally go to the place they will be calling home for now on.

"Mom?" Dylan says. He is visibly excited to go home. As he is sitting on the bench his feet doesn't reach the ground, so his legs swing non-stop until Katherine puts her hand on his left knee.

"Dyl, you are making me nervous, so please, could you stop moving your legs?" Katherine says and before a yawn leaves her mouth, she smiles softly at her brother. Josephine giggles, a combination of how Dylan says a shyly "sorry", how Katherine's face looks so tired and from all the happiness she's going through right now.

At that giggle, Katherine looks at her sister and gives her a soft smile before taking her in her lap and hug her while they're waiting for their father.

"Tell me, baby. What's wrong?" Elizabeth loves her children so much, she would do anything to keep them happy. She and Stephen had to do this decision so they could give the best live they could afford to their kids. They both were incredible doctors, that's why they decided to move here. They were traveling back and forth between Perth and LA, so as much as they loved Perth, they loved more their children and the time spent with them.

"Are we going home now?"

"Yes, baby. Where else do you want to go?" Elizabeth chuckles. She already knows what's going on inside his boy's head.

"Is there any park near our house? Or better! Is there any football pitch near home??" At this, Katherine rolls her eyes with a smile on her face while Josephine gasps.

"Is that true, mummy?" She turns in Kath's lap to look at her mom with expectant eyes.

"I don't know, sweetie. You both will have to find out. But not today. If you want to see the neighborhood you'll have to wait until tomorrow. Is already late here. Now is time for a shower, dinner and going to bed" At this, both, Dylan and Jo, pout. But when they see their father coming the smile gets back to their faces because they already know they're going home.
