I stand there and watch fay talking to her mother and i just tilt my head and brings back flashbacks about us two
Fay: mom
Fay: mom I am on a date
Fay: with a girl i told you
Fay: I'm gay mother
Fay: you can't change that
Fay: i am not meeting you friends son
Fay: by- bye mom
She hands up her phone and takes a deep breath and she look at me and i just half smile at her and then say
Me: Are you okay?
Fay: yes
Me: you don't have to lie, you can talk to me
She just looks at me and i come closer to her and i grab her hand and then smile at her and the say to her
Me: you can talk to me i swear just talk
She signs and rolls her eyes and put her hand on her face and then looks at me and then she says
Fay: fine come on
She walks away and i follow her and we both go into a building, and she opens it and it an apartment and i go in and she puts her keys on the table and then grads alcohol and sits on her couch and i sit next to her, but she scoots over
Me: let's talk
Fay: okay
Me: your mom still not okay with you being gay?
Fay: yup
Me: well, I'm glad that you're not paying attention to that
Fay: i try not to but she won't leave me alone about it
Me: pushy
Fay: she wants me to be with a boy, she wants to see me get married and have kids
Me: you can still do that
Fay: i said that but she said that it's different
Me: how so?
Fay: because it's the right way
Me: well that not right
Fay: yup
Me: well don't listen to her you deserve to be happy and if being with a woman makes you happy that's what you do
Fay: i am trying
Me: she won't let go huh
Fay: not even let her grip loosen, ever since i came out in high school she been trying to hook me up with boys
Me: well, if she would have tried girls
Fay: really?!
I chuckle and then look at her and she just looks at me and i clear my throat and smile at her and look down and grab my drink and take a sip out of it
