Mystic

A normal day

My day started normally. I got up to the sound of my alarm and sprinted to the bathroom to brush my teeth and have a quick shower. I slipped into my uniform and ran down the stairs to bolt in a meagre breakfast. "Bye mum bye dad" I called "bye" they yelled back. I ran down the street and met up with my best friends Lucy, Ruby and Rachel. "Hi" I said breathless. "Hey" said Rachel "I like your new top"
"Yeah" the others agreed.
We walked down the road to school arm in arm chattering about anything and everything.
Once we for to school I checked my timetable. Ugh Maths first . I hurried to form room and sat in my usual chair and doodle on my desk idily. "Mystic, Arina" miss Halding called from the register.
"Yes miss" I replied and rolled my eyes at the sniggering kids who still couldn't get over my last name. Miss Halding gave out some questionnaires that we all had to finish. I took out my pen and scribbled the answers not caring if they were right or wrong.
Finally the bell for our first lesson rung. I hurried to maths not wanting to be late. On the way their I bumped into a cheerleader "ugh" she exclaimed "watch where your going maniac or Gabrielle will get you...... Again" and she laughed probably remembering when Gabrielle dumped my food on me in front of the whole canteen. It was soo embarrassing. I'm not popular but I'm not a wallflower either. I give her a dirty look and scramble to maths before I'm late. I reached my maths room 2 minutes late. Unfortunately for me our teacher Mr crain is super stern about punctuality. "Miss Mystic where were you 2 minutes ago?" He asks
"In the hall " I mutter.
"Class started already. See me and lunch time for a detention"
I groan as I get to my seat a detention is just what I need.

I was on my way home along with my friends when Gabrielle and her cheerleader cronies pop up from nowhere. "Hey girls" gushed Gabrielle. "And Ariana" she snickered she always hated me but loved my friends. Some people say its because of my last name as she is unfortunately named Gabrielle Dit!
"Hi" Lucy answers "what's up?"
"Oh well I was wondering if you would like to come to my party on Saturday. Its going to be huge!" Gabrielle replies.
"We are busy" I say quickly
"Well then you can be busy and Ruby,Rachel and Lucy can come with us!"
Gabrielle reasons
"Not happening" quips Ruby " we are All busy."
"Oh" Gabrielle's smile deflates. "We see you then" tossing back her hair and giving me a dirty look.
I inserted my key into my front door. "I'm back" I shout out waiting for my mum to reply.
"Hi honey" my mom replies twisting her fingers together. "Why don't you go into the living room and I'll get you something to eat"
"OK" I say dumping my bag in the hall.
I pushed the door open and a eccentric looking lady and my dad were in a disscusion" Not yet she not ready" I heard my dad argue.
"Who's not ready for what" I say
"Oh...hi honey" my dad mutters. "Meet crystal"
"Um hi" I state awkwardly
"Hello" and she sank into a low bow "I have been waiting for you"
