Chapter 3

Amy's POV
As scarlett was putting Y/N to bed i started to make coffee when there was a knock on the door "ill get it" scarlett shouts "thank you" i shout back, a minute or so later scarlett come back with my bag in her hand "forget something" she laughed "omg honestly i was so focused on Y/N i completely forgot i had a bag with me" i said covering my face with my hands "if you don't mind me asking why is Y/N mute?" she asks and i nod "i think its best if we sit down for this" i say and she sits on the sofa.

I took a deep breath before beginning "so when Y/N was 3 months old and i was 10 our parents got in a bad car accident and the doctors were sure if they would survive and after 2 days they both died so me and Y/N go placed in a care home and were together till Y/N was about 3 when they separated us Y/N went to her old foster dad in texas and i went to a group care home in brooklyn, i tried for years to get Y/N back with me but nothing worked so when i turned 18 i started searching for her that was till one day my social worker called saying Y/N was in hospital and they didn't know if she would make it" i said and took a deep breath before continuing "when i got the the hospital i got told that Y/N had been beat and raped multiple time and that the found her in a alleyway barley breathing and had been rushed into a emergancy operation , after what felt like hours of waiting she finally came out of the operation and said she would be fine but she would have to be on a drip for another month because of the lack of nutrisions she had and that when i started applying to adopt he and luckily i got approved but the whole time she was in hospital she didnt take and when we got home she told me that if she spoke he would hit her and everything and since then shes been off and on about speaking so that why we learned sign laungage" i said and whipped the tears i didnt know had begun to fall.

Scarlett's POV
As amy went on i could help but feel angry at Y/N's old foster dad and by time she finished she was in tears "hey, hey your ok" i whispered as i pulled her into a hug, after a while she pulled away and wiped her hears "sorry" she said and i cupped her face "there is nothing to be sorry for" i said and she nodded "what a coffee?" she asked "yes please" i answered.

We sat on the sofa just talking about god knows what "so you seeing anyone?" i tease her and she shook her head "it's hard to find someone who understands Y/N's way of living" she said and i nodded "do you think she'll ever talk to anyone again?" i ask "it took her a month of trusting me to talk to me so i think if she was comfortable enough she would" she said and i nodded "i hope i get the hear her voice she's far to cute" i say "i mean she went to you willingly so thats a big step forward" she said and i smiled "has she ever broke out of her cycle of not talking?" i asked and she nodded "sometimes when shes dreaming or has a nightmare she talks, well most likely screams" she said and as if it was on cue Y/N screamed "no im sorry no,no,no PLEASE NO" and amy shot up and ran to the room so i followed.

Y/N's POV
I woke up and i was back in my old room, at first it was silent that was till i heard his voice "Y/N WHERE ARE MY BEERS!" he shouted and stormed into my room "i-i d-don't k-know" i whispered "LOOK AT ME WHEN YOU SPEAK!" he shouted and grabbed my face "i don't k-know" i said looking at him, he didn't like that answer as he grabbed my arm and dragged me "no please in sorry" i tried but he threw me on the ground "SHUT UP YOU BRAT" he shouted and started to hit me "no im sorry no,no,no PLEASE NO" i shouted then everything went black.

"Y/N please wake up" i heard a voice and felt someone shaking me and i shout up and saw scarlett and amy sitting on the bed and scarlett looked like she saw a ghost "bubs what happened?" amy asked and i just shook my head and started to cry and amy pulled me into her "ill leave you guys" i heard scarlett say "stay" i whisper and looked at her and she looked shocked but nodded "bubs you gotta tell me what happened" amy said and i nodded 'he was here and i didnt get his beers and she hit me" i signed really fast "bubs you gotta slow down i cant understand what your signing when you sign that fast" amy sighed and i nodded "he was here and i didnt get his beers and she hit me" i said and amy smiled "you spoke" she said and i nodded and looked to scarlett who started to cry so i crawled over to her and whipped her tears "im sorry that he did that to you" she said and i just hugged her.
