"It's about that time I suppose." Stellar Skies states. She raises her horn and uses her magic to lower the sun and bring the moon up into the sky. Golden Stars looks down at her hoof to see the change. Her white coat starts to change into a navy blue. The sparkles on her hooves start to appear as her golden stars fade away. Her mane changes colors from a light gray to a midnight blue. A crescent white moon forms on her forehead. The change completes as Stellar Skies raises the moon in it's place.
Stellar Skies looks over to Midnight Crescent. Thats what Golden Stars decided to name her night form.
Back when Golden Stars first became her prodigy, they did some testing on Midnight Crescents power. The results were very impressive for an alicorn. There were some side effects that surprised Stellar Skies.
When Midnight Crescent gets mad, her power becomes too great. The only thing that can stop her is the power of a princess. Midnight Crescent also seems to be more of a loose, party pony. She loves taking risks, things that no other pony in their right mind would even think of doing. Nonetheless, she is always loyal to Stellar Skies. If Golden Stars turns into Midnight Crescent while on a mission, she still stays on track. Her powerful magic can actually be more helpful depending on what she is doing.
Midnight Crescent flies up and takes a look into the reflection of the window. A big smile appears on her face.
"You know princess, I can't decide on which form I like more. I mean, I love both sides of myself. Except the one that no one is fond of."
"I think both sides of yourself are wonderful. It's not what you look like that makes who you are, but your actions. And your actions make you an astounding pony."
Midnight Crescents eyes start to tear up once again.
"Awwe, I'm gonna cry again. Your such an amazing princess Stellar Skies, also an amazing pony. The kindness and wisdom you show is astounding.*Yawn*"
Stellar Skies also starts to form tears in her eyes. Midnight Crescent flies down to Stellar Skies. The two share a hug, both of them about to cry. The bond these two have for each other could never be broken.
"I saw that yawn. I believe you should get going now. We both should be heading to bed. I will see you tomorrow?" Stellar Skies asked, knowing the answer already though.
"Of course princess. I never leave without saying goodbye. Goodnight princess, see you tomorrow morning"
"Goodnight Midnight, I look forward to it."
They both wave goodbye. Midnight Crescent exits the castle and flies into the sky full of stars.
Her yawn earlier was fake, for she could see how tired the princess was and didn't want to keep her up later than she should be. She flies around, looking down at the many houses. Up here, she feels so free. She flies over to the valleys. Shes amazed at how beautiful they are at night. The moon shining onto the flowers is just breathtaking, with the grass flowing through the wind. She takes a deep breath, taking it all in.
