Diego looks out of the window, watching as the car drive passed the house and trees. He knows that his mom has planned something for him and his sisters but what? He has no idea yet.
"Where are we going, mom?" Diego asks his mother.
"You will know soon enough, sweetie." Cat tells her son.
Diego doesn't press on it any further, he knows that he will know soon enough like his mother has promised. He watches as they move through the traffic. He hates the fact that they flew so early that the sun is only rising now.
His mother had said that there would be a lot of traffic and for some reason this was more then he had expected on a Thursday morning. He doesn't say anything to his mother.
The traffic is slow with moving and before Diego knows it, he has been sitting in the car for a couple of hours the traffic really bad for some reason.
When they finally get through the traffic, Diego can't stop bouncing by the billboards of the F1 drivers that he is seeing. He knows that his mother had kept this as a surprise.
As soon as they are out of the car and at the in check. Diego is jumping around in happiness while they wait at the front for Nando to come.
"Thank you mom." Diego hugs his mother tightly.
Super excited to be here. Esmee and Bella don't really care about this sport. They only care about being away from London for a while. Not quite ready to go to school yet despite it starting in two and a half weeks. But their friends are still on a holidays.
"You're welcome, sweetie." Cat tells her son.
"Cat?" The voice of Fernando cuts in.
Cat turns to the man that she had been wanting to see for so long again. A smile forms on her lips as her son runs over to hug the man happily.
"Nando!" Diego shouts.
"Come on. I got some vip passes." He says before handing them all out to the family.
Diego walks with Nando at the front with Cat walking with her daughters behind. Her son being super excited to be in the paddock and chatting happily with Nando.
Cat feels her heart racing on her chest as she looks at the two boys in front. It makes her heart hurt, it may have been nine years since then but it still makes her heart ache in pain.
"Don't dwell, mom. Dad would want you to be happy. Even if that's with another man." Bella grabs her mother's hand.
Cat nods her head at her daughter before she smiles. She knows that her daughter is right. Their dad wouldn't want her to keep living in the past. He would want her to be happy even if that's finding love in a new man.
"You promised him that. He told you that he wouldn't have you dwell on him." Esmee buts into the conversation too.
"I know. It just makes me feel guilty, like I'm betraying him or showing people i don't love him anymore. He is the first man I've loved and loved him with everything i had." Cat tells her daughters.
Bella shakes her head, she knows that this had been the hardest on their mom, it was her soulmate in some ways. She knows that did everything together.
"We know, mom. But we know you miss having a romantic buddy in you life. We know dad won't be forgotten, you won't let that happen. But please, don't let this one go like so many before." Bella tells her mother.
"He's perfect, isn't he?" Cat says to her daughters with a cheeky smile.
They nod their head at their mother with a smile. The three of them come to a halt in front of the younger drivers. She has seen them on photos and follows them on insta. But she isn't sure who's who and what their names are.
Max is the first of the younger drivers to notice the little family that they had come in good contact with. His eyes widen at the sight of them and nudges Lando who does the same to the next until they all see them.
"You guys did come." Max is the first to speak.
"My mom arranged that! Cool right?" Diego says excitedly.
The younger drivers all chuckle at the kids excitement. They can't believe that they are really here. Bella and Esmee are looking in disbelieve in how handsome these guys are.
"That's cool, kiddo." George speaks with a chuckle.
"I arranged it. Thought you kids would be happy and Diego really wanted to see it up close." Fernando speaks with a smile.
He looks at Cat for a second who gives him a grateful smile. Bella and Esmee start talking to some of the guys while Cat goes to stand next to Nando. Loving to see all of them so happy.
"Thank you. It's greatly appreciated." Cat tells him.
"You're welcome." Nando tells her.
She feels him grab her hand and smiles up at him, squeezing his hand before she leans against his arm. Content with the way things go.
