Mathew couldn't believe his eyes. The letter she had written to him had ripped at his heart. He held it again and couldn't help but read it again. His father had agreed to help him talk with the scribe virgin, but now Bianca wasn't there and wouldn't be back. He sat on his bed and couldn't take his eyes off that piece of paper.

Mathew,
I didn't want to do this but I feel it's best. I can't risk your freedom, life, or anything else for me. I can't ask you that. I don't want to do this but I feel I must. This is the hardest thing I have ever had to do. Leaving you is rough Leaving behind the feelings I get around you, hurts the most. I will keep in touch, but until I am sure he approves, I think it's time I leave.
Love,
Bianca

How could he possibly be alright with this letter? He set the letter down and stood. He was angry with Wrath. He hated the son of a bitch. His door opened and his father came in.
"Wrath is angry she left too. I think this was his wake up call." His father told him.
"And if it's not? How can we be sure he isn't doing anything because he just wants her here?" He asked his father.
"Well, think of it this way. We, meaning you me and Bianca, can demand that he allow you to mate."
"He would never agree to those terms. Besides she wants him to approve on his own not by being forced. She wouldn't want this."
The door opened and Beth came into the room.
"She has arrived safely at her new home. I hope that you can keep in contact with her. She has a cell phone. V put it in the big computer so it should be in your phone." She said, "She is a wreck. Couldn't stop crying, kept saying how you must hate her."
Mathews heart dropped. She feared he hated her? He would never hate her. This situation is what he hated most. She was his life now. Tonight he would track her cell and find her. He would go to her and talk some sense into her. His father and Beth left knowing he needed time. Time to figure everything out. Time to think about the future. Time to track her damn phone and find her. He wanted so much to be what she needed, and right now she needed him.

New message to: Bianca
Hey Beth said I could text you. I miss you. I could never hate you.

His first reach for communication. He hoped he could handle the hours until dusk when the sun finally set and he could leave. She had waited until the last minute to leave so he couldn't follow her. His phone vibrated against his hand.

New message from: Bianca
I am sorry I left. I wanted his approval and Beth couldn't get it. I wanted to mate you. I am sorry I didn't say anything in person before I left. It hurt so much as it is.

His heart dropped.

Wrath was furious that his wife had helped his daughter move and wouldn't tell him where she went. When Beth had read the letter from his daughter, his heart broke. He had failed her. She had basically said it. He didn't want her mother? He had but she refused to have him. She didn't want to marry a vampire. The thought of having his child drive her crazy. She hadn't called him, though she promised. She hadn't told him. Now he blew his chance to know his daughter because of his pride. He knew she should be able to mate whoever she chooses. Hell, she had even bonded with Mathew. He didn't want her to marry a future warrior, because of the chance of loosing her mate. Now he had cost her so much more than that. She left Mathew, Beth, even him behind to protect the mate he refused to acknowledge. He heard the door to his office open and he smelled Rhage, Butch, and Phury.

"What is it?" He demanded of them.
"We have come because training starts tomorrow making the brotherhood two short on rounds. How should we schedule everything?" Phury asked him.
"I had forgotten about that. Phury you reach the hand to hand combat on Monday Wednesday and Fridays, while Z can reach weapons on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Then do normal rounds with four Glick enlargement." He told them.
"Got it." Said Phury, "We couldn't help but notice that Bianca hasn't come around. Is she alright?"
"No.. Yes.. I don't know. She left because I didn't so as she had wished. I have forbidden her from mating the man she says is hers. She didn't wish to remain." Wrath said calmly.
"Have you not noticed how upset Mathew has been? How she felt when she wrote you that letter? I could smell it all over the letter Mathew received." Bitch demanded of him.
"I care not how Mathew feels. He can not mate my daughter. Because of him I lost my daughter. Because of him she refuses to call me father. I stand by my decision. No mating is to happen." He growled.
He smelled Butchs anger and knew he has struck a nerve. He heard the three of them leave and sat back. Where had that anger come from. He had been thinking about allowing the mating until Butch stepped in. His Bianca wrote a letter to Mathew as well. What would she have said? How would she have felt? He didn't like being so emotional. He didn't like not knowing where she was. He needed to figure out I'd her hating him was worth the pain he was causing her. Beth had become attached to his daughter. She had been saddened when she had left. His dear Beth wouldn't be alone with him for longer than to sleep. She refuses him her body and refuses to give him what he wanted. She was punishing him for his actions. His own mate.
