Dear Reader,

Dear Reader,

Ever since I was a little girl I dreamt of having a fairytale life.
You know the kind from the movies. The one with the career, the perfect husband, a big house with a white picket fence, three or more beautiful children and a cute fluffy dog.
The most epic love story.

Ultimately it was Disney that made me believe in a magical type of love. If Aurora could sleep for one hundred years and still find her Prince Charming so could I, right?
Cinderella had a man searching the whole country until he found her, his one true love. Why should I settle for anything less?

However, don't let those movies fool you. They don't teach you about the imperfections of love.
They don't prepare you for the heartbreak.
The rocky road you have to drive down.
The pain of falling in love over and over again, searching for the one.

Love is beautiful but it isn't perfect.
It's messy.
It's brutal.
It's unapologetic.

But it's also a lesson.
One you can continuously learn from.
I still am.

However, despite all the bumps, the obstacles, the twist and turns that got in my way, I can finally tell you I found my person.
My soulmate.
My forever and always.
My Prince Charming (he will hate me for calling him that)

Our journey wasn't an easy one.
Not in the slightest.
But we live to tell the tale.
And we are going to take you down memory lane with us.

I'll start from the beginning, But let me tell you this...
It's not a cute, fluffy and romantic story that you may have read or seen before.
It's an emotional rollercoaster.
So buckle up dear reader and hold on tight.

Enjoy the ride.

Emelia xoxo
