This is a small side book that I wanted to make while I work on something bigger. Just to show my writing style. It's a collection of different D&D backstories I've made for different characters over the last 3-4 years. I hope you enjoy.
Here's a lil backstory for a dnd character I have:

Test Subject #5282640 --- "Dull"
"Dull" was not always what Test Unit #5282640 was called. There was a time when he wasn't "Dull." But that was many many years ago.
All those years ago, there was a rather successful Scientist and Apprentice that traveled the world, working to the benefit of the human race in the study of unknown creatures. The two had met 5 years prior in school. Once one of them had graduated, they took the other along to travel and learn with them. Although they were both only 18 currently, they had made a fast and loud name for themselves in the world of science. One day, after a breakthrough during the autopsy of an unidentified species of snail, the Scientist and the Apprentice were invited to see a tour of a place they'd never heard of. It was supposedly a research facility made to undergo and hold many different realms of study, some of these realms being ones our duo had never even thought of or heard of.
The apprentice was excited, yet nervous. Why was this place so . . . Unheard of? A secret kept so tightly held, that they couldn't even tell their peers where they had been invited to? But the Scientist thought this was the best thing to happen! They were far more comfortable with the situation, imagining how amazing it would be to not only experience science, but also get a break from all the other things they had on their plates!! Any worries that their sweet lil apprentice had were shushed, while they both instead daydreamed of all the amazing things they'll soon see! The Apprentice decided to simply follow along. It couldn't go too poorly, could it? . . .
. . . It could. Jesus Christ, it could.
They were welcomed into the facility, given mannered greetings, and then given a new pair of suits and coats. They seemed far more . . . Structured than most scientific lab equipment. Extra padding, tougher materials . . . The Apprentice became apprehensive, and asked, with a nervous chuckle, "Why this much? Are we in danger?" And the surrounding people laughed and reassured them, "no, no, . . . never." Yet the Scientist looked to the Apprentice, gave them a raised eyebrow, whispering a sweet and quiet, " Aw, c'mon. Don't wimp out on me now, lil guy," with a good hearted smirk. The Apprentice straightened up, and gave a small smile, happy to tough it out with his long time friend. Afterwards, the tour went on.
They saw many different things and places while there. Some they understood, some were out of the Apprentice's field of knowledge. But they eventually reached a place that gave a tone of finality to their visit. It was a door that led down to a set of very long and winding stairs. This of course made the Apprentice nervous again but . . . It's only some stairs. They're fine, he can do this. It's okay, it's okay. . .
