Dear Diary,
I don't know what I'm doing. All I know is that I'm starting a diary thanks to my therapist. Well, lets start with something simple. My name is Gloria Gabriella Thomas, but you can call me Gabriella Thomas; I don't like Gloria. I'm an 18 year old who has no idea what she wants to do. All I know is where I am and how I got here. My senior year was a whirlwind. No sleep, making me sleep deprived, and when I did sleep nightmare after nightmare. But lets start at the beginning. To make more of an understanding, me and my friend Casey were talking about our weekends before the start of school.
"I went on two dates with two different guys, and ended up going home with one I didn't even show up with" She told me.
"Girl you're such a cheat," I said and as I looked at her I saw her eyes turned more gloomy. She knows I'm right she always does.
"Okay, well how was your weekend then." So I told her everything. On how me and my guy best friend, Noah hung out all weekend.
"First we played videogames in his living room, until he decided he was hungry." I slowly saw Casey's expression change but thought nothing of it. "So we went to get fast food and ice cream. As we ate our food we talked non-stop about our lives, sports, shows and movie, the usual." Casey's eyes widened as she watched me. "What, what is it why are you looking at me like that?"
Casey laughs "it's just you."
I looked at her puzzled, "what do you mean it's just me?" I said confused. She looks at me like I'm stupid. "What?" I asked again.
Again she laughs "you really don't know do you?" I nodded my head, she stared at me; like she was saying you cant be serious right now. "You like Noah," she said as confident as ever.
"What no, I- I would never he is my best friend since we were like ten."
"Just because you're best friends with someone, doesn't mean you cant fall for them."
"Well I assure you I don't. That would be absurd," she gave me another look.
"Mhm, sure then tell me why is he your best friend, what do you see in him?"
I looked at her when I said "well for starters that's a weird way to word that question. And I don't really know. I mean I love him." Her eyebrows risen "he has been there for me through thick and then, when I'm sad he cheers me up, makes me laugh and lightens the mood. He knows just how to make me happy, his smile is contagious and his laugh is adorable." I'm slowly sinking out of reality whilst I think more about him. "His eyes are like two deep blue oceans that I swim into and will never come back, as if I drowned, I want to run my hands through his silky thick hair as if its a forest. The way his lips are like two perfect little mounds upon his face and his style is something unique that I wouldn't change." I snap back into reality and Casey is staring at me mouth wide open. "What?" I asked.
"You really do love him," she nudged my shoulder.
"Of course I do, he is my best friend I already told you this." Her eyebrows raise again as she looks at me with her pounding hazel eyes telling me to think more about what I said. I look down back to her and down again and back again. "Oh My God! I'm in love with my best friend," I'm shaken eyes wide mouth wide and I don't know what to think.
Oh well I gotta go. See you again soon diary. I'll pick up where I left off. Bye for now!
-Gabriella
