"Adore!"

We glanced at each other with wide eyes. "What did you do?" I mouthed. She shrugged. We put her school bag down and went over to the door. Peeking our heads out, we saw her coming straight for the room, Lauren, Jhené, and the twins following closely behind.

"Here we go..." Dori sighed, she went back into the room and plopped down on her bed. "Adore Estelle, why didn't you tell me you were being bullied? Why did I have to find out from your cousins? We could've been handled this."

Adore simply crawled to the top of her bed and slipped underneath the covers. She hid under the blanket causing a frown to form on my face. "Adore, come out." Nicki gently tugged on the cover. I grabbed her arm and pulled her away from the bed.

"Let me talk to her." I whispered.

"No, she tells you everything. It's like she doesn't trust me enough to tell me things that I need to know." She replied. I know that the situation was stressing both of my babies out, but I can't have them arguing over who's right or wrong at the moment. They're both right. Adore didn't want any drama or confrontation from her mother and Onika wants to be aware of what's going on in Dori's life, to make sure it doesn't affect her mentally.

"Nic-"

"No. It's like my own daughter doesn't trust me. She doesn't want to talk to me. All I want is to make sure my baby is okay." She snatched her arm away from me and went over to the bed.

I watched as she took a deep breath, sitting down next to the little girl. I made it my business to tell the others to go.

"Love, lemme talk to you. Please?" Onika asked softly as she patted the blanket.

"Go away! I don't wanna talk about it!"

"Please, Adore? Mommy, just wants to know how she can fix this. I know you don't want me to get confrontational, but we need to figure this out. First you gotta tell me what happened." There was silence for a moment and I could see the sadness in Onika's face when Adore didn't come out. She looked at me and frowned.

Nicki got up, walking out of the room, leaving Adore and I in more deafening silence. She hated getting upset in front of the kids. It was like her worst nightmare, allowing them to see her get mad or cry or anything. But that was just a part of life that Onika, as mature as she is, doesn't understand.

"Come on out, kiddo."

She moved the cover from her face, sighing dramatically and sitting up. "You hurt her feelings, 'Dore."
