I wake up with a groan.

Ugh, doomsday is here!

I slowly climb out of bed and stagger to the bathroom; I look in the mirror and take in my dishevelled appearance and bird's nest hair.

I give my hair a brush, part my hair down the middle and then loose braid my hair into a stylish bun.

I throw on my favourite high-waisted tapered Levi's, chunky-soled white trainers and my plain white t-shirt before ambling downstairs to the kitchen for breakfast. Mum has already gone to work, but I notice a small note on the table.

'Morning my sweet! I've left you a fruit smoothie in the fridge. I hope you have an amazing first day, can't wait to hear all about it! Mum XO'.

I can't help but smile at her enthusiasm. I grab the fruit smoothie from the fridge, chuck on my backpack and head out the door.

It takes me about 20 minutes to walk to college. I could easily have walked it quicker but let's face it I have a million other places I'd rather be.

For my subject I've chosen Pack Law and Politics, my goal is to become a pack lawyer one day. Maybe that way I can somehow help other people like me, the downtrodden outcasts. I want to do good with my life, I don't want to be like these bitter she-wolves who cast someone aside because they smell different. I want to help people, no matter their background, species.... Or weird smells.

I also opted in for the packs' combat training. It's not a mandatory subject, but I've always enjoyed a good old spar, and besides, who wants to be that wolf stuck indoors cowering? Not me that's who. I'd much rather be out there, helping the pack fend off intruders and kicking ass!

The Dark Wood Pack is in the top 3 packs for their training regime, they're highly sought after for their warriors.

I arrive at the College gate, it has a village feel to it, it looks peaceful for a school, if that's even possible, it makes me feel relaxed, almost safe.

I step inside, the halls are bustling with other students whizzing by one another. Any safety I felt before has instantly vanished. I walk to find my first class, students are already giving me side glances and whispering. I try to keep my head down and ignore the stares, though it's kind of hard when you have 95% of the student population staring directly at you.

I make it to my class, scoping out the class I eye some tables near the back that are empty, the furthest away from everyone else.

Perfect, I think. I take my seat and pull out my book, I open it up with the sole purpose of hiding behind it.

All is peaceful apart from the whispers, that are almost certainly about me.

After a few minutes, the whispers suddenly stop. I can feel the tension in the air but refuse to look.

"AHEM!"

I look above the book, only to see .... Amber... and of course, Alice trying and failing to hold her sister back, as always.

"Why are you in my seat?"

Ah, fuck. That makes sense now as to why it was so empty in this area, definitely for Amber and her loyal band of witches. Way to go Olive!

Alice pops her head around Amber some more "it's ok, really, please don't move we will find somewhere else to sit".

Looking around the class, everyone is staring, practically salivating waiting for their latest fix of drama.

Vultures.

"Oh, sorry. I didn't realise it was yours. I can move" I try to say as meekly as possible, even if it is pissing Raven off.
