More and more people were refusing to obey the laws of the land. King Aze would not stand for such insolence of those feeble-minded peasants as the common advocated for soaring taxes.
Within the meeting hall was a rectangular glossy dark wooden table; a throne, decorated and glorified, was at the end of the table where the King sat.
Each seat was filled with the Lords and Nobles of the Dragonic Kingdom - all of them were sporting a grave expression on their faces. The war between the elves had devastated troops, fields and critical resources all over the kingdom.
"We can't hold on like this." One of the oldest of the council was Rendel Timesei, a man who had lived to oversee the rise and fall of Kings and Queens. Although he wore a simple green robe and wear - he was still one of the most well respected. "With all the recent strikes and the added up costs of the crisis - we will not be able to support our expenditure."
A rather gruff looking man slammed his hand on the desk. "Round up the rebels! They must be sealed inside the crimson dungeon before this insolence spreads further!" Shyroal Poreta's voice echoed strongly throughout the hall. Another one of the higher ranking nobles spoke out.
Snap. The echo of a finger clicking silenced all and any noise within the hall. King Aze did not look amused. Fields were being abandoned by farmers - rendering the cultivation of grains and supplies to the army useless. Unless something grave was done about the immense battle prowess of the elves, things would only get worse.
It was either lose the war or lose the Kingdom.
"It seems we have come to this." King Aze muttered under his breath. He rested his palm on the wooden desk. "Release the Dragon."
. . .
"Your Majesty... This is... Is this truly the moment to do so?" Rendel Timesei would never have imagined that the Dragon would once again be utilised.
Everyone in that room knew it was a serious matter. At this rate, with how the elves were fighting back, humanity would be on the verge of losing another one of its staple Kingdoms. After a quick raise of hands, it was all agreed that the Dragon would finally come onto play in the battlefield.

Arrows whizzed past relentlessly through the forest earth battlefield. Both elven and human corpses were littered across the greenery as the two sides fought at full ferocity.
While the two sides were going at it, unbeknownst to them, a large creature had started circling round. Two scaled wings flapped with grace while the head of the Dragon turned toward the chaos.
A single beat was all the Dragon needed to dominate the battle. Flames burned all in sight, leaving nothing but the ashes of where groups of soldiers were concentrated. Both human and elven members alike were completely incinerated.
Grave matters called for grave measures.
