~AUTHOR'S NOTE: (Only the Prologue is in the 3rd Person)~

It wasn't long after their parents left the house, that the 4 decided to celebrate the coming end of summer. They were forbidden to leave the house tonight because it was getting too dark. Then again, they were invited to Alec West's 17th birthday party. They really couldn't miss this because he was prominent for his epic parties. Mia decided to wear a sparkly, blue, strapless dress. Sasha pulled out a white crop top and a black mini skirt. Jason came out with basketball shorts and his team jersey. Kevin just decided to be the only normal person and just where a green plaid shirt and black jeans. They made sure that they all left at least 15 minutes after their parents left.

When they made sure that the coat was clear, they all hopped in Jason's BMW i8. They could have taken their cars individually, but they wanted to carpool. Plus, Sasha'a car got towed away for parking in someone's driveway. The drive took about 45 minutes to get to Alec's house. When they got there, they were met by one of Alec's butlers so he could go park the car. This is only the second time we've been to one of his parties, so they weren't really used to that. After Sasha finished primping herself in the car mirror, the butler drove away. They all walked in unison to Alec's front door and Jason knocked.

Before his hand reached the gold and white painted door, it swung open. The music inside was causing a ruckus. A lot of people were dancing on the floor. Probably from being drunk. They were trying to find Alec because they barely knew any of the people here. When Mia spotted him, she walked over to him holding Kevin's wrist. Sasha and Jason decided to go join the party and scooted to the dancefloor. Since they knew no body, the two danced together. It wasn't weird. Soon enough, Sasha and Jason lost each other and separated into the crowd. Jason was talking to this girl by the bar. Sasha was in the middle of a group of boys and girls, having what looks like a dance off.

Mia and Kevin just sat at the bar and relaxed. Mia was vibing to the music a little, but Kevin just zoned everything out. He was scrolling through his Facebook feed when he saw a picture of them at Alec's house. Anytime their names were tagged in stuff, their parents could see it too. He checked to see who posted the picture. Only to find out that Sasha was taking pictures of her dance off. It wasn't long before all four of their phones started to ring. Sasha and Jason were drunk from the whole lot of Vodka they drank. So Kevin agreed on answering first.

"Hello" Kevin trembled a bit.

"WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU FOUR?" It was their dad on the phone.

"We went out, since the end of summer is coming," Kevin was trying to get them time to get together and leave.

"WHERE ARE YOU?!?!" He just wouldn't stop yelling.

"We went to our friend's 17th birthday party. We were just leaving." Kevin signaled for Mia to rally everyone up in the car.

"WHERE?!?!" The yelling again.

"Just a 45 minute drive from the house," Mia and Jason were dragging Sasha by her arms. That's gonna leave a bad hangover.

"We're coming to pick you guys up. Don't move a muscle!" Kevin could hear how stern their mother was being.

It was 9:34 PM when Kevin hanged up the phone. It was now 12:08 and their parents still didn't show up. They decided to make their way home, letting Mia drive this time. Kevin stayed in the back with Jason and Sasha. When they got home, a lot of police cars were in the street and drive way. Their grandparents were there too.

"Oh my gosh, I'm so glad you're okay," Their grandma and grandpa got up to hug them.

"Hi. Where's our parents?" Mia asked.

"Ok sweeties. Sit down," Grandma Turner told them.

"You're parents were on their way to pick you guys up when an out of control truck hit them. The car was totalled." Grandpa Turner told them.

"So are they in the hospital?" Kevin asked.

"Sorry sport, but no one survived that impact," the police officer came into the house.

All of a sudden, Sasha and Jason seemed to be sober.

"What?!?!" We all yelled in unison.

"The truck was too big and the car flowed straight into the sidewalk. Two other people got minor injuries," The police officers words burned their hearts.

"Its all our fault," Sasha started to cry and ran up the stairs.

"If we never sneaked out to that stupid party, this wouldn't have happened," Mia started to cry.

"Its okay guys. They were doing it for your good. If they never called you, you would have never left that party until sometime tomorrow.
