Hey guys this is my first time using Wattpad so please bear with me. If you have any ideas or comments please let me know. ☺️👍💕

Wisdom from a hippopotamus; have big ideas, charge ahead, make a big first impression, swim gracefully in water, take a big bite out of life, live large and don't be afraid to open your mouth.

So far in my life I don't think I have even come close to any of those things. I have ideas but none of them are really big. To have a first impression would mean you have to meet new people and I do not do that. Swim? Ha thats a no unless you count a very sad doggy paddle; if you can even call it that. Take a big bite out of life.... I mean I take big bites out of food. Maybe I can count that. Live large, I mean i'm not fat but i'm sure not the skinniest person around. Then lastly I am most definitely keeping my mouth closed.

Sorry for randomly throwing my life at you; but I guess that's what happens when you keep to yourself most of the time.

I looked up from my book I've been reading against my willow tree to the sound of skates and guys laughing. I watched as Carter and his friends on the hockey team came racing down the road with their gym bags over their shoulders. It's hard not to stare as they go by. They are not only the most popular guys in school but they have the looks to match. With that being said Carter takes the cake as the one every girl is trying to sink their teeth into.

Carter is beyond hot, so hot he puts the sun to shame. He is a walking sex god that us sad mortals just so happened to have gotten lucky enough to even get to set sights on him. He is all anyone talks about 24/7, a star athlete who just so happens to be the captain of our school's hockey team.

Oh my; he is so hot I could bake cookies off his abs. Is that too far? Most likely. I'm sorry sometimes my mind just takes me places.

I watched as the boys headed into Carters house. Yes you heard that right; I was ever so lucky enough to live four houses down from that handsome god. Yet I have never even spoken a single word to the guy.

"Meredith!"

I looked at my front door to see my mother standing there holding my phone. " Will you please take this thing; it keeps going off every 5 mintues." I closed my book, stood and walked over to grab my phone. " I'm sorry I didn't realize I didn't have it with me." She nods and turns back inside; I looked at my notifications to see that one of my only two friends Connie has been sending me repeated texts. I hit her name on my phone and waited for her to pick up.

"Jeez finally Mere, I've only been trying to get a hold of you for the past hour."

"Sorry, I was outside reading and left my phone inside'

"You are the only person I know who can go days without their phone and still be fine." I let out a small laugh and headed inside. "But to get down to business I wanted to know if you were still alright with us coming over tonight."

"Yes of course, that's a silly question to even ask."

"Well we know you leave tomorrow for camp and we didn't want to intrude."

"Never, i'll see you guys at 7:30"

"Alright see you then."

I looked at the clock on the wall in the kitchen. I had an hour till Connie and Lauren would be here. So I gather up our favorite snacks and head up the stairs to my room. I moved all my things for camp to the far corner and laid out my comfy blankets along with setting up my laptop with Netflix so it was ready to go. I had just enough time to hop in the shower and throw on some comfy sweats and a tank top. After running my brush through my hair I heard Lauren's car pull.
