Lunar's Curse

Chapter 1 - I'm not cursed.

As soon as I got that text, I went straight home, of course with my cloak on still, I went in a dark alleyway, and summoned my Teal Staff, but that's a topic to change.

Staffs are something every witch or wizard should use, they help in teleportation, protection, fighting and many other things, the color is chosen by the experience the person has. Mine was purple before, but since I kept training, it slowly changed to teal.

Anywho, i opened up a portal and arrived at the doorstep, it's a pretty normal house, 5 rooms, kitchen, living room, 5 bathrooms, an attic and a basement. I went inside to smell some tasty food, who cooked today? because it definitely wasn't Gold! I chuckled then I headed for the kitchen.

"Oh welcome back Lunar!" Gold happily said "Yeah yeah, i'm just really hungry" Okay, okay, i may have lied, but come on! Gold didn't cook for once!

"You're in luck, I cooked today!" Rainbow proudly said putting a plate of food in front of me.

"Now this looks good! Thanks sis!" I smiled and started eating "So, where were you?" Funneh asked, I almost choked.

"I was getting some fresh air, that's all" I answered with a nervous chuckle. I finished eating and in an instant I went to the basement, before I was stopped by Draco "Woah where are you going in such a hurry?" He asked, stopping me "I was... going to get changed, now can I go?" I got impatient and left to my room instead of the basement.

So I switched out my previous outift: a white tee, some dark blue pants, white shoes and black cloak to a more comfortable fit (Quick A/N: Lunar is now wearing a hoodie and some teal pants. -𝐿) And i was set to continue my quest: find what's wrong with my magic.

I felt a headache come to me, I had to figure out what's happening. I took a bag, stuffed it with books and left through the window, they couldn't see me leaving.

I started feeling dizzy halfway through the village, so I went into an alleyway again, opened a book and read.

"Dizziness may be an effect of a curse, the witch or wizard who was cursed would be turned evil if not dealt with properly."

I stopped reading and thought Curse?? No, no, I can't be cursed again.. as I panicked, the dizziness and headache got worse, I tried to keep my balance but I couldn't, so I summoned my Staff, making it teleport me to a house, in a bedroom. I can't remember what happened, because I apparently blacked out.

I woke up in an unfamiliar bed, still a bit dizzy, I couldn't locate my place, yet.

"Oh, you're awake? I'm glad, your head was bleeding a lot." A lady-like figure softly said, They then walked towards me and wiped my head. Then a crash was heard, the figure only sighed and said "Diane, stop messing around with the potions I have." 'Diane', that name... sounded very familiar.

"Tsk, what even are  you? A cursed witch!?" Diane laughed, a evil laugh "I'm not cursed." I replied angrily.

"As if" Diane sat on the bed, then continued "I know an evil or cursed witch when I see one,  why? Because I am one." Diane... Diane... GOT IT!

"I remember you now! You were my best friend when we were kids!" Diane clapped, but she got serious "Listen, Lunar. What's happening to you or your magic is not normal, show me your Staff." I summoned my Staff out of mid-air and left it floating, "Teal is a high rank, high rank witches aren't supposed to get cursed-" I interrupted her "I'm not cursed!" "You clearly are" she sighed then continued "I don't have time to yell at you at 2am, so go back to your house." With that, she was gone. "I packed some medicine for you" The lady said, she clearly knew I wanted her name "My name is Jane, you may come back anytime you wish, take care Dear."

I teleported to the house again, but ended up on my windowsill, I fell facefront, my legs felt numb, Diane said she'd written her phone number on my phone, so I could always call her, That overprotective friend.

"Lunar! Are you alright? I heard a thud from up here" Gold asked in a worried tone, she helped me get up and set me on my bed "I'm fine, I just fell" I lied "Oh thank goodness, also, why are you awake? It's 2am." I gave a nervous chuckle and almost wanted to ignore the question but I ended up answering "I didn't feel sleepy, that's all." It was almost true, I couldn't just tell her that I was at a "friend's house" I didn't even know that Jane person, but apparently she'd been taking care of Diane, and I was at least glad because of that, I ignored that I had no idea where they took me, so I never really knew, I could get there by using my Staff, it wasn't convenient, but it was the best I had.

Next morning, I had breakfast and I was in a hurry to find that stupid Black Flame, when I got stopped by Rainbow "Where are you going in such a hurry?" I tried to just leave but she wouldn't let me unless I answered her question "I need to go buy something, can you let me go now?" Although she wasn't satisfied with my answer "Where? and why in such a hurry?" I don't know what came over me but in a voice, a dark serious voice, (It wasn't my voice), I answered "That's none of your goddamn business, now Let. Me. Go." I guess she got scared because she ran off and told the news to Gold, who most likely told Funneh, and Funneh probably told Draco, In that moment, I wished they didn't find out about the curse.

I took my books and left, in search for the Black Flame, I didn't quite know what it looked like, but I did read about them, in a page of a book I had right there, so I re-read that exact page.

THE BLACK FLAME - An Ancient Flame designed to help the mages with weak magic and cure the cursed, it will only reveal itself to those who are worthy of using the Flame

I knew it wouldn't be easy, finding an Ancient Flame was tricky, I couldn't quite leave home, so I'd have to set a note, Although the risk of dying was high, I didn't have much to lose... Or so I thought.
