Chapter 1

(Time Skip To 1 Week)

1st Person POV:

It's been a week and yet I still can't get him out of my head, I stare off the distance in deep thoughts.

'Why is life so cruel?' I thought bitterly

I was lost in my thoughts that I didn't even notice tears flowing down my cheeks.

I suddenly hear footsteps coming towards me, but I paid no mind to it as I was still deep in thought.

"Oi, stop crying already, do you really think he'll enjoy seeing you cry?" I hear a familiar voice ask.

I snapped out of my thoughts and looked up at the person who caught me crying and was shocked to see who it was, it was Stephen, he was Jefferson's older brother.

I snapped out of my thoughts when I realized that.

'That's right..... Jefferson's dead' I struggled to fight back the urge to break down in front of him but it seems like he noticed me struggling to hold my tears because he came closer to me and knelt down and put one hand on my cheek.

"You've been holding back your tears all this time right? Since you stay away from home more than usual" I was surprised he noticed, but I couldn't help it especially since this house was full of memories.

"Cheer up already, he surely would've wanted you to do that, for you to move on, for you to not get caught in the past, right?" I shakily nodded because, one, I was surprised him of all people actually came to comfort him because he was known as the indifferent and mysterious brother while Jefferson was known as the more jolly and hyper type, it surprised the whole school back then when we found out they were actually brothers. Though they're both hot.

And two because he was right, he was right I needed to move on, I can't keep doing this to myself I needed to move on, go back to my usual routine except........ I'll be doing this without him.

With that realization I felt a wave of tears threatening to fall down me and this time I couldn't hold it back, cause I had a weird feeling it would be alright to break down in front of him, so I did just that.

"O-oi why are crying again?!" He panicked but then calmed himself down after a few seconds and he wrapped his arms around him and like it was second nature I immediately hugged him back and put my head on his shoulder, and he started running his hands up and down my back and lightly patting it in an attempt to hopefully calm and comfort me.

We stayed in that position for a while until I fully calmed down.

"Are you feeling better now?" I nodded

"Yes, a little, thanks to you" I flashed him a grateful smile and he looked away with a barely noticeable blush on his face.

"A-a little?" he mentally cursed himself for stuttering even though it wasn't actually noticeable.

"Just give me some more time and I'll be totally fine!" My smile became bigger and for some reason he blushed harder and even though I was confused I ignored it thinking he was probably cold.

"Are you okay? You look a little red." I asked worriedly and put a hand on his forehead to check his temperature, but instead he turned redder and I was getting worried having half a mind to go get a thermometer.

"I'm fine" He assured me and pushed me away slightly
"You're too close you idiot... " He murmured still not looking at me, he looked at me for a second before he averted his gaze. He mentally slapped himself before calming down.

"But seriously Jefferson, thank you." I thanked him again.

"It's nothing, it just annoyed me since you kept sulking. Though the others probably didn't notice it." He quietly spoke the last sentence.

I giggled 'What a tsundere... '

We talked for a while before he needed to go home. I saw him off at the front door. He smiled at me before driving off. For some reason I felt butterflies in my stomach but I brushed it off thinking it was probably the after effects of crying too much. Something I would soon regret deeply.

(Time skip)

After what happened that night my mind became so much clearer, it was so much easier to do my daily tasks, life was great until......

I found out that Jefferson went overseas to continue his studies.
