Sunoo came home after a long day and all he wanted to do was disappear into thin air.

All the members were probably back already, while Sunoo had decided to stay back at the company and practice his vocals for a while.

His vocal coach had told him today, that if he wants to pull off a highnote in their upcoming comeback, he has to practice harder.

Sunoo was trying his best, he was just too tired. The training went on for a while, which resulted in the coach getting mad at him.

It just ruined Sunoo's day. He felt extremely hopeless. Useless. Helpless. He felt like crying, but he didn't have the energy to.

He thought a warm shower would calm his nerves, but quite the opposite happened. The moment he stood under the hot droplets inside the closed room, locked away from the world, fresh hot tears rolled down his cheeks.

He sobbed quietly, afraid the members would hear him. His sobs had stopped by the time he got out of the shower and went to the kitchen to grab some water.

He realised he wasn't feeling sleepy at all so he went to sit on the couch, scrolling on his phone as he hugged a pillow.

His mind soon went blank and his tears stopped, leaving him with sniffles and a red nose.

"Sunoo-ya, why aren't you asleep yet?" Jay croaked out from where he stood in the hallway.

To say Sunoo jumped at the sudden voice would be an understatement, his soul practically left his body.

"Ah, hyung!" he rolled his eyes in fake annoyance, one hand on his chest indicating he got scared for a second.

Jay just silently walked over to him. He too was in his pyjamas like Sunoo, so he was clearly already back at the dorms and probably asleep too.

Sunoo could tell that bit. Jay was wearing a cap backwards, which means his hair must've gotten messy.

Jay walked over and sat down beside Sunoo, making Sunoo turn his back towards the older.

Oh no, he can't see me like this.

"Sunoo..." Jay tried to turn him around by his shoulders to which Sunoo wasn't budging. But who are you kidding? Jay is much stronger than him. After more than a couple attempts, Jay managed to turn him around, but Sunoo was quick to hide his face into the pillow on his lap.

He felt it come crashing down on him again, a few tears escaping his eyes.

"Hey, what's wrong? Look at me, please?" Jay spoke softly as if Sunoo would break if he didn't.

"No."

Sunoo said something for the first time. Now that was progress.

Jay started patting Sunoo's back as he realised the younger had started shaking, only rising Jay's concerns.

"Why not, honey?"

"My face is red and ugly." I'm afraid that you won't love me.

Jay lightly chuckled. "What nonsense? You are never ugly to me."

Even though it seemed like Sunoo had hiccuped, it was clear his breath had hitched.

Should he look up? Should he show his hyung his vulnerable side?

It's not like the members haven't seen him cry. But it was only when he cried on camera. Now, he has been crying for a while. He's afraid there are dried tear stains on his cheeks and his nose is red to the point he looks like a clown and he doesn't even have tissues to wipe away his snot.
