A question that I had been asking myself was still bugging me, but I couldn't ask Talia, because he had return to Tokyo, and apparently, he has so much work that he cannot take a second to answer me. But I guess I can't blame him. I took all his time, he probably had to push away some things to clear my case. But now that I finally got an answer, and from the television itself, I think I don't have any other reason for contacting Talia ever again. I'm glad my work with him is now done, it just means one thing ; I'm completely free. Also, he told me about a tracer on my uncle's car just a few days ago. He called me, said that in one sentence and hung up. My uncle and I went to see and what Talia was saying was, in fact, true. We ended up with the conclusion that the Tabitos put it there and it was the most plausible idea with my old situation. We destroyed it.
Anyways, the answer to my question I've been waiting for, for more than two weeks finally came to my ears. But not only to my ears, also everyone who was looking at the news this morning, waking up, could ear it. I could just see one or two dads spit the coffee they had in their mouth into their cup. In fact, for volleyball fans, it was very bad news and we could just imagine them all mourn for this loss that was my parents' own death. It was announced to the news just this morning, more than two weeks after we arrested the murderers and seven months after they actually died. I was sitting on the couch. I had just woken up and decided to take this school morning slow, since I showered yesterday night. My uncle was already watching tv, so I decided to sit and watch with him. And the very next second, you had the news of my parents' death.
"Today, we also bear important bad news. We are very sad to announce to you all that the most talented volleyball players that made us proud of our country are now dead. Their death has been hidden from the world for about seven months, explaining why even their teams weren't hearing from them. We can't imagine the pain the children of those parents, Irihata Y/n and Julio. We can assure you that we all support you through that difficult time..."
"It's not like it happened yesterday" I commented.
"As we heard from the police officer in charge of that case, the murderers are now behind the bars, bearing the deaths of multiple people, not only Yro and Nanima, our adored volleyball players. Now, let us hear about what their teams have to say"
The image suddenly changed, showing us my father's teammates. I smiled, recognizing them all, but sad to realized they all had sad faces.
"So, what do you all think about your team's captain death?" the journalist asked.
"We are devastated, of course. Yro was an example for us all. We adored him. We are thankful to have had him in our team. He had everything to be a captain, he always cheered us up when we had difficulties with the other team, he always pushed us to our limits, so we could become the best of ourselves, he respected us, loved us and we can't imagine how our little Y/n and Julio are doing right now. We'll give our respect to the funeral. Your dad was a very respectful man and deserved everything. And it's also true for your mother. She was a wonderful woman that treated us like her own children."
"Thank you for sharing your feelings"
And the image changed again, showing my mother's team. They were all crying. My mother was also her team's captain.
"We are really sad to learn this today. We tried to contact her, but we never got an answer back. We were really worried but to learn that today, we just... we just can't believe it. She was our treasured star, she would never steal the spotlight, even though she was called the best player of Japan. And for our dear Y/n and Julio, we all hope you're doing good, we're happy to learn that you're safe. We hope we can see you soon."
"Thank you."
And it switched back to the news lady.
"And now, let us hear about fans' feelings"
And it switched again.
"How do you feel about it?"
"We can't believe it, obviously..."
I slowed down the volume and looked at my uncle.
"I wonder if I still want to talk about my story" I said, sarcastically. And also, because we were invited to the news tonight to talk about it. I was already tired of their compassion toward us. It would probably be complicated tonight to not burst out. Maybe we would have acted like them in the first days and weeks after their deaths, but now, the pain's less present than before, so I don't think I'd look as ugly as the first days.
"I understand. But we'll all be there to support you. Not just me, but everyone who participated in this story. Julio, Oikawa, Iwaizumi, me, we'll all be there to tell the story if you can't go on."
"I know. I understand the police for not telling them everything, but they could have asked me the permission to tell them some things. Poor them, they know absolutely nothing."
"But at least, you'll be able to tell it in your own words. The police is just watching, you are the main character, if you want my opinion. They could explain it in a way you wouldn't be happy."
"I guess it's a good point."
"It is. And remember, we'll-"
"You're all gonna be there."
"We're all important people in this story. And maybe..." he stopped.
"Maybe what?"
"Well, you know, your mutual feelings between Oikawa and you will be shared to everyone."
"Oh, no, not you too!"
"Oikawa probably knows it too."
"What?" I asked, scared.
"You know about his feelings, but I guess Iwaizumi and Sao also told him. It looks like you both know it, but you act like it's not there. You don't believe it."
"Anyways, I don't see how it could be shared. How do you want it to be shared?"
"How he wanted to protect you... from death. He was the only one who was truly there for you. You would only accept his presence."
"Enough. I think I'm really gonna die, tonight"
"The news lady is that dangerous? I'm really asking how the Tabitos were dangerous then. I don't think it's a good idea to go to that interview."
I looked at him, and sighed. He laughed and I jumped off the couch to go prepare myself for school.
*-*--*-*
(A/N) : Also, info that I did not give in the story : Oikawa does know about Y/n's feelings, but he does like he doesn't know it, like Y/n. Anyways, hope you enjoyed that rare chapter. It's gonna be complicated to post, since school and sleep schedules ; I really want to sleep. Anyways, have a good night or day, my dear readers! :)
