𝐤𝐞𝐧𝐳𝐢𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐤𝐞 𝐮𝐩 from one of the best sleeps she had in her life. she was confused but quickly familiarized herself with where she was. she glanced over to the clock joey kept on his bedside table. it was 12 pm.
she hopped out of bed and went downstairs to find no one there. "guys?" she called out but there was no response. she grabbed a handful of the goldfish that she was eating last night and went looking for her phone.
right when she found it, the boys came barreling through the door. "you need to leave joey's coming soon" he said.
the five scrambled to get their stuff and clean up their mess they had made the previous night. kenzie left through the window and booked it to her house. when she was far enough away she stopped running.
she also realized she left her clothes in joey's room. she texted craig immediately and hoped it wasn't too late.
thankfully, he responded and got the clothes hidden in his room. suddenly another message popped up into her inbox, "meet me at the dot asap." the message was from sean.
kenzie walked to the dot because it wasn't very far and sean was already there. she sat next to him at a table, "where were y'all?" she said stubbornly, with her southern accent poking through.
"calm down texas, we just took a car out for a spin," he stated, "and we scored tickets to a concert." he pulled out a ticket.
"you could have gotten killed!" kenzie worried.
"but we didn't," he responded.
she did the classic kenzie eye roll and looked at her nails. "you should have woken me up," she told the boy.
"we tried! like five times you're a really heavy sleeper," he laughed.
"whatever," she said before her mom started ringing her phone.
"hello?" she answered.
"can you come home? you need to do your chores," mrs. fisher said.
"on my way now, bye," she said abruptly hanging up the phone.
"well i gotta go see you monday?" she half-asked half-said.
"yeah, see you later," sean responded with an unhappy expression.
so kenzie started her walk home. she hoped craig was not in trouble. she also hoped that she wasn't about to be in the middle of a stupid love triangle.
