Chapter 26 (It was just purely sex)

(JENNIE'S POV.)

When Jennid was still outside the door, listening to Lisa talking with someone on the phone.

She wanted to run away, to avoid everything, to pretend that she did not hear a single thing. But… why would she do that? She, the Witch CEO, was never a coward.

She had been a fighter since she was young. Without a mother to take good care of her, without a father that would shelter and protect her, she grew up fighting for herself, fighting for those people she cared. She was a strong woman, so why would she run away?

'No. I will not run away.'

Jennie slowly entered the room while looking at Lisa's back.

The woman… The woman that she decided to give her everything.. her mind.. her body.. her soul.. even her… heart.

Jennie could feel that her heart was stabbed a million times, like someone was repeatedly squeezing it hard.

She feels suffocated, like she was drowning in an endless despair.

As much as she wanted to cry, to beat her to death, to spit on her face… but… She couldn’t… She had to be strong. She has to show her that she was not affected, that she was not in pain. So, she decided to close her eyes.. to close her heart.. and smile brightly as if nothing was wrong…

Lisa tried to touch her but she moved away.

She despised Lisa's touch, the touch that could melt her, the touch that she always craved for.

‘I cannot let her touch me every again. Or else my resolve would crumble.'

Lisa tried to explain, to tell her that she was still the Lalisa she knew.

But, no, she would never fall for her tricks ever again.

"No.. You are not Lisa... You are Manonban Lisa. The Eldest Young Master of Manoban Corporation. 'The Manoban Lalisa' not the Lisa that was homeless and unemployed. Everything was just a charade for you. So, no, you are not Lisa."

Yes. Jennie finally understood why her heart would feel painful every time she thought of their current status, her current standing in Lisa’s life.

She loved everything about her. .

Her naughtiness, shamelessness, slyness…Lisa pampered her like she was her Queen..

But… she wanted more. She wanted not to be Lisa's Queen, but to be the center of her universe. She wanted to be with Lisa forever, but Lisa betrayed her. She betrayed her by not revealing her identity. She gave her the chance but she wasted it.

"Jennie… No, It’s not like that. Listen to me."

Again, Lisa tried to hold her in her arms, but she slapped her hands.

"No need to get physical Ms. Manoban. We can just talk, like two civilized people."

She stared at Lalisa. There was no pain nor anger in her eyes. It was as clear as the sky.

"Honestly, I was shocked when I found out everything. But as I thought about it, it was clearly my fault for what happened at the bar. You don’t have to worry. I won’t take it to heart. Let’s just… go in our separate ways."

Jennie said those words while looking at Lisa’s eyes.

When Lisa found out that Jennie was behind her,

She wanted to apologize, to beg for forgiveness.. But, her body won’t move, like she was rooted on the spot and was not able to take a step forward.

She wanted to hug her and bury her inside her.

If only Lisa could cut her heart out and show her what she really felt about her.

If only she could just crack her skull and let her see her brain to tell her what was on her mind.

If only Lisa could travel back in time and admit everything when she gave her the chance.

But there was no medicine for regret.

No matter how much her intestine turned green, the deed had been done.

There was no point in thinking a thousand 'IFs'.
The only thing she could do now was make sure Jennie would forgive her.

Lisa's heart was bleeding while looking at Jennie who had an indifferent expression on her face, as if she was not hurt… even just a little.

Jennie would’ve preferred it if she cried or shouted at Lisa . Even if she wanted to slap Lisa hard or stab her to death, she was willing to take everything…

Lisa was willing to receive everything with open arms, if that would make her anger and disappointment lessen a little but she just smiled brightly at Lisa, as if she did not care.

Her brain was not able to comprehend what she said. She could only look at her foolishly.

Indeed. She was in love. She foolishly loved this woman.. and she only realized it now when it was already too late.

She did not know when it happened, maybe whe she laid her eyes on Jennie for the first time.. or maybe when she discovered her different sides, especially when she becomes stupid once in a while..

She didn’t know when she started loving Jennie. Because the moment she realized it, shee already loved Jennie deeply…and it was beyond salvation.

Jennie laughed as if she finds Lisa amusing. Every laugh she made, Lisa could feel her heart was being shredded into pieces.

"Don’t tell me you don’t want to?"

Jennie moved closer to her and whispered,

"Don’t tell me you like me? Heh… Don’t forget, everything that happened between us was just purely sex. Nothing more, nothing less."

Lisa froze. She cannot believe what she heard. Lisa stared at her and asked,

"You really think that it was all sex? That there’s no emotions involved between us, huh, Jennie? Tell me!!" She grabbed Jennie's shoulders and shook her hard.
