I. DAHLIA HAD ALWAYS felt a deep sense of longing for something more, something beyond the ordinary experiences of everyday life. She was strong-willed and independent, with a sharp mind and a fierce determination to succeed. But in a society that valued women only for their beauty and their ability to bear children, Dahlia found it difficult to find a place where she truly belonged.
II. WHAT DAHLIA NEVER expected was to die young. She remembered the moment clearly, she felt her life slipping away. She had always been a dreamer, full of hope and ambition but in that moment she knew all of her dreams would go unfilled. On the brink of death, Carlisle Cullen found her and decided to save the young woman, turning her into a vampire.
III. FOR THE FIRST TIME Dahlia felt like she belonged. She had people around her who cared about her and she even fell in love for the first time with Edward. Even though she had a hard time accepting the lifestyle of the Cullen Coven, she was happy. But that happiness crashed like a wave on the shore when a certain human girl moved to Forks and soon she was the only thing on Edward's mind.
IV. DAHLIA DECIDED THAT she wasn't going to stand there and watch as the boy she loved started to fall in love with another woman so she left. Dahlia left but soon after arriving in Volterra, she realized maybe all of that was meant to happen when she met certain Volturi Kings.
