Goodnight

That night, the stars shined brighter than ever before. So close yet so far. Almost as far as I felt from my friends. From my family. From the world moving around me like nothing was happening and I was irrelevant to time and space. Maybe I was. Maybe I was irrelevant to time and space. Not a part of the storyline. A busy worker in the background of a New York based film. Yes, that's what I was. Someone in the background. I was in my own thoughts again, something that was happening more and more frequently and as I stepped forward I heard a piercing screech of tires on tarmac and the scream of a woman. The cry of a child. The panic of a street full of people as the night overlook the day. That night, the stars shined brighter than ever before.
