a few weeks passed and it was the day of round 23 this game was do or die, if we lose were out of finals If we win were in the finals. last night we all flew down to Tassie and spent some time all together. I was working today as social media manger as the normal lady who runs it had covid and of course couldn't make it. we had the be at the oval by 11:45 as the game was at 1:10 and we had to be there just over and hour before the game so the boys can warm up, train, get their pre-game meeting and of course so they can all get ready, which meant I had to wake up quite early, I got up at 9:40 so I could have enough time to shower, get dressed do my hair, makeup and get everything I need.
"you ready" Marcus called out as I made my way to the door
"yes are you boys ready" I ask and they nod
"well would we be standing at the door if we weren't" josh says and I nod
"good question, probably" I say and Marcus rolls his eyes as he pushes me out of the hotel. "rude"
"actually shut up" Marcus says as we walk over tot he bus where all the other boys were
"hello, hello" Aaron says and I wave
"good morning naughts" I say as bevo walks over to the group
"I think thats everyone lets go" he says getting on the bus then we make our way to UTAS stadium which was only a 10 minute drive from the hotel. once we arrived at the oval we all made our way down to the doors where the boys did all their pre-game preps.
by 1 I was recoding the boys run out through the banner and onto the ground. and 1:10 came and the ball was bounced was so. scared if we lose its the end of the season or us. 2 1/2 hours later 'sons of the west' rings through the speakers as the boys pull off a 23 point win I was so happy I went on the ground and recorded some of the boys handing out balls to fans. after the boys had interviews and finished handing out the boys they all lined up as ben McEvoy was retiring.
after a bit the boys came down and sang the team song and they were all so happy and they were all smiling and happy.
"you played very well today" I said walking over to josh and wrapping him into a hug
"and you did a very good job cheering me on" he says and I giggle
"lets hope that the pies pull off the win tonight and we stay in the top 8" I say and he nods
"yeah shit totally forgot about that" he says as Marcus walks over to us
"sorry to ruin this moment but post game meeting dunks" Marcus says and josh nods as he places a kiss on my cheek
"see you later babe" he says walking off we Marcus. did josh just say babe? yes he did.. on the Sunday after our amazing 28 point loss against the cats josh popped the question to me while we were out for dinner. and let me tell you I was shocked but very happy. while I was in my thoughts thinking about when josh asked me the boys came out laughing which snapped me back into reality.
"someones happy" I say and she shrugs
"libba being libba you know" he says and I nod
"of course of course" I say and he smiles
"were heading back to the hotel now and were gonna chill in a rec room and watching the pies and blues play if you wanna watch with us" he says and I nod
"yeah sure" I say as we all make our way onto the bus and head back to the hotel. once we arrived we quickly took everything back up to ours rooms then headed back down to watch the game in the rec room. im the last 20 seconds of the game I pulled out my phone and recorded the boys because the pies managed to make a come back and win by one point. the sound of the siren came and the boys were jumping everywhere and it made me so happy to see them all happy. after I turned the phone of josh came up to me and pulled me in and placed a kiss on my lips
"were in the fucking finals" he says and I giggle
"I know" I squeal and he laughs "good old Collingwood forever" I sing and he rolls his eyes
"I thought you were a doggies supporter" josh says and I roll my eyes
"what I cant be happy that Collingwood got my team in finals" I say and he laughs
"yes you can" he says as Bailey walks over to us
"finals" I scream and he laughs
"I know" he says and I give him a hug
"thank you jamie Elliott" I say as josh and Bailey laugh "what he got the winning goal" I say and they rolls their eyes.
"no" I ask as Bailey walks off
"bit rude" josh sys and I nod
"very" I say and he laughs
"hungry" he asks and I shake my head
"nah this was filling thanks" I say and he laughs
"oh yeah true true" he says and I laugh
"are you" I ask and he shakes his head "ok im gonna go upstairs and start to pack because it takes a while" I say and he nods
"ill come up soon" he says and I shake my head
"nah ill come back down later have fun with the boys" I say walking over to the lift which takes me to the 3rd floor. after a good 20 minutes of packing I head back down to the rec room to see the boys still there.
the rest of the night we just having a few drinks with the boys and dancing around till eventually me and josh ended up going up to the room and calling it a night.
THE NEXT MORNING:
"Arya wake the fuck up" Bailey says jumping on the bed
"what the fuck Bailey" I say rubbing my eyes
"hurry up we have to head to the airport in just over 30 minutes" he says and I groan
"ok well ill get ready once you piss off" I say as he walks off, I hop out of bed and chicken my bulldogs hoodie and some gray trackies, I freshen up and brush my hair then I put everything else away in the bag and head out ton the living room.
"that only took 15 minutes" Bailey said and I nod
"I know dont take 10 hours" I say as we leave the drum and head out of the hotel to everyone. once everyone was there we hopped onto the bus and made our way to the airport.
1 h and 30 minutes later we arrived back at the Melbourne airport we all got off the plane and got our bags and made out way over to the bus which took us back to the whiten oval after we arrived we all said bye to everyone and drove back to mine. once we got home I grabbed my bag and threw it on my bedroom floor and fell straight onto my bed
"someones tired" josh says walking into my room
"yeah no shit we didnt go to bed till 12:30" I say and he nods
"true sorry" he says lying next to me and I smile
"not your fault" I say and he laughs. the rest of the night was spent watching Netflix with josh and eating pizza that we ordered till eventually I fell asleep.
A/N: sorry abt the chapter being boring I dont rlly have much moderation to write so im gonna end the story after grand final or maybe a bit later on we'll have to see (if dunks leaves to the lions ill add something about that in the story as well) but everyone if your on holidays enjoy them :)
