Autobot Base

I jerked to my feet, waking Arcee and Smokescreen up instantly. Arcee was immediately grumpy, but her attitude changed when she watched my tail whistle over her head. She squinted, blinking whatever sleep she had left in her away. Smokescreen was already to his feet, watching me with interest.

"What? What is it?" Arcee asked, slowly pushing herself to her feet. The scent filled my nostrils, and I felt the plates of armour on my back slowly rise, like a cat's fur would when it smelled or saw something hostile. I crouched, letting a low growl ripple through the air, setting both Smokescreen and Arcee on edge.

"Is something wr-"

"Get Optimus." Arcee looked confused, but Smokescreen didn't hesitate. He transformed, tires digging into the soft sand. His shiny, blue form darted away and I whipped my head back to the sky. Predaking had flown into the wind, carrying his scent much faster than it did he, alerting me of his coming.

"It's the other Predacon. He's coming." I saw Arcee tense out of the corner of my eye, and she shifted nervously. She was about to ask a question when I heard the squeal of tires. I turned, seeing that Smokescreen had brought everyone, including Ratchet. None of them took their time, knowing it was urgent. Optimus was the first to arrive.

"What is it, StarStrukk?" I didn't take my eyes off of the direction Predaking would arrive from, answering quickly.

"Predaking. He's on his way. He's taken the chance of flying in the direction of the wind, I can smell him." There were nervous murmurs, and Bumblebee was beeping away. The other humans weren't there with them, hopefully they were at their homes.

"Optimus, we don't even know her. This could be some wacko plan they've had and she might be mani-" Wheeljack's words were halted with just a raise of Optimus's hand, and he calmly made an important decision.

"What's the approximated time of his arrival?" Wheeljack rolled his eyes, but didn't say anything about the Prime's decision.

"Ten minutes, max. I'll stay until you all get out of here, then I'll head west, as far away as I can get from this place to keep it hidden. You have somewhere to go in emergencies like this?" Optimus didn't say anything to me, but rather turned to his companions, Arcee included. He said a few things to them, and they all took off to the Decepticon warship, all of them were in a hurry. Optimus stayed. After his team disappeared, he spoke.

"Show me." I stared into his blue abyss-like optics, deciding whether or not he was serious.

"You wouldn't come back sane, Prime." I growled to him. I was right, my mind was much too complicated for him, and just one look inside of it may render him mad. His face was calm but I couldn't help feeling slightly nervous, if he was so sure. . .

"Fine, but it won't be my fault if you come back changed." I lashed out with my mind, doing nothing to prepare him for what was to come. His alien thoughts crashed into mind and he physically flinched, his hands clenching into tight fists. I fused my mind with his momentarily, then carried his conscious into my own. It sounded confusing, because it was, I had no idea if it would work, and I didn't really know if he was okay with it. His mind was very weak, but I couldn't help the random flashbacks and memories that poured into my databanks. I didn't ignore them, in fact, I took in as many as I could, knowing that someday the information may be useful, but also harmful. As soon as his mind was within my own, I poured my physical feelings in him, he could now smell what I did, he felt the way I felt, and me him. Our minds had a few seconds of melting together, and my entire identity blurred. I couldn't figure out which memories were mine, nothing could separate the two of us. I concentrated on the task at hand, showing him how I knew what was going to happen. He was quick to react, responding in a positive way. His thoughts suddenly pierced my own.
