okay wow i don't even know where to start. im actually really fucking emotional because i can't believe gone girl is finally completed. and i owe this all to you guys for being the most amazing readers!! i am so astronomically grateful for every vote and comment—especially the comments! everytime i didn't feel very confident about my writing or i was feeling stuck and unmotivated, i checked the comments and you guys cheered me up immediately! i love every single one of you for being here, for staying through thirty something chapters of amaryllis' life falling apart.

gone girl went through a LOT of planning. i sort of knew the direction i wanted this to go, with amaryllis starting off from ogygia and thinking she was a daughter of apollo. sometimes i didn't even plan things and they sort of fell right into place on their own. in the earlier draft, i planned for amaryllis to forget to bring back calypso, but then i decided to change it because there is absolutely no way my girlie would forget her sister figure.

amaryllis is the best oc i have ever created. she's brave, funny and will never hesitate to stand up for her friends. she's too self-sacrificing for her own good, insecure about her worth and sometimes has no filter (especially when it comes to gods), but that's what i love about her. she's not perfect. she tries her best and never gives up. she's a loving person that cares about people more than anything and sure, she might go a little feral sometimes, but she would hug you if you were sad and she'd destroy your enemies to see you smile.

her death... people were upset, man. i was upset too ngl. but, as hinted in the epilogue, there's a bigger reason for everything that happened and you'll find out in book two and three!

(yes, there are going to be three books in the series! get ready for a lot of angst. like... a lot)
