"And it's a hole in one for McCathy!" My grandpa shook his fist in the air, "He won!"
"Shut up, Jason!" Nana shook her head, "You know what Regina said next door. No loud golf remarks."
"I live in America. I am being patriotic. Kill me."
I laughed from the kitchen.
Crazy that man is
"Look at him. Austin, I used to look like that."
"As if." I say.
"Those were the days. And his wife. Is just," he stopped, seeing Nana glare at him,"not as beautiful as the woman I fell in love with. No actress super designer can top your beauty." He wrapped her into his arms. She giggled.
"But it won't hurt to meet her in person and all." He said. She smacked his shoulder and he gasped in pain. Nana leaned in closer.
"Oh, Jason. Did I hurt you?" Her voice was worried.
And with that he pulled her into a kiss.
"Ew." I said. But to be honest, I loved them being in love. Gives me hope that I could find that forever love one day.
"And there goes his son." Grandpa pointed to the television.
I looked at the screen.
A guy around my age with golden blonde hair and perfectly tanned skin, smiled a beautiful white teeth smile at his dad. They embraced in a hug. I stare into the television.
"There goes the father-son love we always seen. Trevor McCathy has grown up since 6, huh?" A female announcer said.
"Go that right, Kate. And it seems our little Trevor has a fan base of his own." A male announcer said.
Sure enough. A whole lot of girls were screaming Trevor's name with poster boards as if he won the entire Players Championship.
"Quit, googling at him." Grandpa said.
"I'm not googling him. I don't have the laptop with me. But I plan to."
"Oh, you like him." Nana teased.
"Nope. Just want to look him up."
"Stalker!" Grandpa yelled before I got to my room to look Trevor up.

After looking into the life of Trevor McCathy, I got down to eat my lunch.
"I made the vanilla ice macrons, you wanted for lunch." Nana pointed to the freshly baked macrons on the counter.
"Thank you."
I began to eat when the phone rang.
"Pile fetch twat." My grandpa said between chews. He swallowed as he answered the phone.
"Hello, this is Jason. Who is this?"
Then his face went pale. He looked at Nana.
"Oh. Okay."
Pause
"No, it's fine."
Pause
"But..."
Pause
"Oh, she will."
Deep Breathe
"Okay. This Friday."
Pause
"Bye."
He hung up and plopped to the floor.
"I am going to have a heart attack."
"Who was that?" I cocked my head.
"It was your...,"He glanced at Nana, who gave him a nod,"dad."
There was an uneasy silence.
"But you guys said he was dead."
"No, dear," Nana shocked her head, "We said he was gone. We didn't know anything about him. He just...left."
"What does he want?" My voice shook because I bet you I knew the answer.
"He wants you to spent the summer with him."
I laughed.
No one joined in.
"I can't go."
"But you must," Nana said, "you have got to know your father..."
"But to live with a stranger..."
"You have got to know him. Please."
"But..."
"He lives in California,"Grandpa said, "you have a plane to catch Friday. Pack your bags."
********************
Friday came with a flash and we were driving to the airport.
"You got your sunglasses."
"They are on my head."
"Sunscreen? Flip Flops? Hats? Towel? Swimsuit? Body Wash? Deodorant? Pa..."
"Nana, everything will be fine."
She was worried for me. I understood. Grandpa didn't say a word during the ride. As we pulled into the airport, I see that this will be the first time I will fly alone.
"Nothing to be afraid of. Grandpa pulled me into a large hug as I began to cry.
"I don't wanna live with him."
"Sshhh," he gave me a stern look,"Be brave, my little Texas. Here." He gave me a silver pendant of the moon.
"I was going to give this to you in college, but going to Hollywood, California seems scarier."
I laughed. "You're right."
We walked passed all the gates and waited. Then my plane arrived.
"That's me."
I was given a big group hug.
"Hey, while your there. Please meet David." Grandpa gave me a hat and flag for David to sign.
"Will do." I laughed.
"And maybe you can have Trevor as a boyfriend."
"Oh, yeah. Tell him, you've stalked him since his dad was famous."
"Guys!"
They will never stop.
"Well, I have to get on board."
I gave them a peck on the cheek, another hug, a final glance, and I slowly walked into the plane. When it lifted off from Earth. I began to think.
Who the hell is this man I going to met?
Why hasn't he ever called me before?
Why did he leave?
