Four more days and I'll be out of here.
I tried to pass time by doing the only thing I love most - wandering the mortal realm.
For the past 20 years or so, I have seen humans cry, laugh, and love.
I've seen them at their highest moment, as well as when they're at their lowest.
I smile to myself, thinking about the memories I have shared with humans back when I was still alive, wandering around this world as a normal human being.
As I proceed to cross the rickety, wooden bridge that leads over the river, I can make out a white, ghostly figure on the bridge, looking over into the water.
I approached the figure silently.
They didn't look at me, or even speak to me. Just kept staring over into the river.
Another spirit?
It has been a while since I last saw one.
Most spirits immediately pass into the white light the moment they die.
So why is this one different?
Or perhaps, is this spirit just like me, being punished for what they did in the last few moments of their life?
