"can we discuss how you and kit got back together? because i'm still not fully in the loop and it's been days," joe says to bella as she's pouring them both a glass of wine. "and i saw those photos of you going to his flat in that dress, and all i know is—"
"okay, shut up about the photos, first of all!" she exclaims. "it was a cute dress i wanted to wear, that's all."
"mhm."
"oh, fuck off," she grumbles, taking a seat on the couch.
"you are a changed woman. you swear and drink now. i don't even know you anymore."
"i'm not going to talk about what happened if you don't shut up."
"okay, okay, go on."
"okay, so he forced me to rehearse a scene we had together that day since we obviously hadn't before, which is how we ended up in his trailer. we did it once and then i was just like 'this is really awkward' and told him how i was feeling, and then he kind of did too and yeah. it was a whole thing. we both obviously still loved each other and he was telling me about how he's been going through some things," she explains. "he's been on medication for anxiety and stuff recently."
"what? seriously?"
"yeah."
"shit, like— is he okay? i mean, obviously not, but you know what i mean."
"his dad is sick, which i guess caused his anxiety which i'm thinking turned into an anxiety disorder now."
"that really sucks. he's been off since we started filming. not like, dickhead kit when you guys were fighting but off. i guess that's why," joe says, and bella nods.
"yeah. he's supposed to be coming over tonight, actually. we were going to have a movie night."
"a movie night or a 'movie night'"? he asks, doing air quotes, and bella pushes his arm, nearly spilling his wine.
"stop making those jokes. i am not hooking up with someone while you're in the house. the thought of that is genuinely repulsive." a knock on the door interrupts the two, and bella stands up to open it.
"hey," she says, smiling as she sees her boyfriend. "joe's here, so... you know."
"right," he laughs, leaning in to kiss her. "i missed you."
"i literally saw you this morning," she giggles, but pulls him back in for a kiss. "but i missed you too. what movie do you want to watch tonight?" she leads him to the living room, and he takes a seat on the couch.
"maybe a scary movie?" he suggests, pulling bella onto his lap.
"you know i don't like those!"
"pretty sure he's using it as an excuse to just cuddle," joe says, and kit rolls his eyes.
"i'm not opposed to that," bella replies, putting her arms around him. "i'll sit through a horror movie if you keep hugging me."
"okay, i'm disgusted, so i'm going to go to my room," joe mutters, standing up from the couch. bella just giggles as he walks off, reaching over to the side table by the couch to grab the remote.
"you choose, i don't really know many scary ones," she says, handing the remote to her boyfriend. kit scrolls through the netflix catalog for a few minutes while bella scrolls through instagram.
"how is it possible that so many people could guess we broke up?" she wonders out loud.
"hmm... maybe because you were writing breakup songs that were clearly about me?"
"shut up," she laughs.
"how about this one?" he asks, clicking on a really shitty looking b-movie. "come on. it's got a 5% on rotten tomatoes. there's no way it isn't fucking hilarious."
"yeah, that's fine."

bella has fallen asleep now, her head resting on kit's shoulder. there are about twenty minutes left in the movie, so he just turns it off as he had lost interest anyways. he looked over at her, not wanting to wake her up, but as he shifted, her eyes opened.
"sorry," he apologizes. "i didn't mean to wake you."
"it's okay," bella replies, smiling. "can you stay here tonight? or do you have to go back home?"
"i probably should go back, but i'll stay," kit replies.
"thank you. you can go to my room, i just have to talk to joe for a minute." he nods, and walks into bella's room as she walks into her friend's room.
"good movie?" joe asks her.
"it was scary. and i fell asleep, so i'm not sure," she replies. "um, he's sleeping over, so don't be annoying in the morning, okay?"
"fine."
"okay. goodnight."
bella walks back into her bedroom, shutting the door.
"your bed is tinier than the last time i was here," kit says.
"right, because my bed can shrink."
"i don't know! it feels weird." she rolls her eyes, turning the lamp off by her bed and climbing in beside him.
"my bed didn't shrink, kit."
"you should get a bigger one if i'm going to stay over," he suggests.
"actually, i meant to talk to you about something related to that," bella says, leaning her head up on her elbow. "joe was the one who suggested this, not me, so i just want to hear your thoughts. do you think we should starting planning on moving in together?" kit remains silent for a moment before speaking.
"do you want that?"
"i mean, i feel like it's obvious i want that. but if you don't, i completely understand."
"i think that would be lovely, yeah. can joe pay rent himself here though? i'd feel bad having you move out and leaving him here himself."
"sebastian would move in," bella replies.
"oh. okay. i see. yeah, i think getting a place together would be really nice."
"and you wouldn't regret it? considering we literally just got back together?"
"i feel like that wasn't a real break up, to be fair," he says, and she laughs.
"yeah, that's true. okay, i'm tired. i am sleeping now." he chuckles, kissing her head before he shuts his eyes.
