"Have you heard the story "The Princess Bride"?"

"No, I haven't, what's it about?"

"Want me to read the story to you?"

"Eh, I don't really like books..."

"You'll like this one! Trust me!"

"I guess I'll try and listen."

"Yes! You're gonna love this book."

"Is it a kissing book?"

"Uh well... a bit? But there's fencing, fighting, torture, revenge, giants, monsters, chases, escapes, true love, miracles!"

"Alright, but I'll stop you if it's bad."

"Yay!"

"Don't get too happy."

Her soft voice could barely be heard.

"The Princess Bride by S. Morgenstern. Chapter 1. Nene Yashiro was raised on a small farm in the country of Florin. Her favorite pastimes were riding her horse and tormenting the farm boy who worked there. His name was Amane Yugi, but she never called him that."

The teenage girl looked at her sick brother and said "Isn't that a wonderful beginning?"

Her brother looked at her with the most sarcastic face and in an even more sarcastic voice, said "Yeah, It's really good." The girl gave her brother a death stare which gladfully got him to stop looking so pissed and continued with the story.

"Nothing gave Nene as much pleasure as ordering Amane around."

And now... our story begins

Nene's demanding voice was all that could be heard, "Farm boy, polish my horse's saddle. I want to see my face shining in it by morning"

All Amane could say was "As you wish."

Nene smiled at him and walked away as he just stared at her.

The teenage girl's voice continued.

"'As you wish' was all he ever said to her"

Amane was just cutting wood outside as Nene walked over with another demand of hers. She dropped two buckets in front of him and started to talk. "Farm Boy, fill these with water"

Amane lifted his head and stared at the girl in front of him, once again.

A faint "please" had escaped the girl's lips while she stared back.

Finally, Amane had said it. "As you wish."

Nene looked at him a bit longer before walking away to attend to more of her duties on the farm.

"That day she was amazed to discover that when he when he was saying 'As you wish,' what he meant was"

"I love you."

"And even more amazing was the day she realized, she truly loved him back."

Amane was about to walk out the door but he had heard Nene's sweet voice behind him.

"Farm Boy,"

Amane stared at Nene as she looked around trying to find something with her eyes. But she finally said something, a soft demand, it could even be called a question.

"Fetch me that pitcher."

Amane slowly walked towards her, staring into her eyes. Nene started to breathe heavily wondering if he was going to say it. He reached his hand over and next to her and grabbed the pitcher hanging above her. As he handed her the pitcher, a mumble came out.

"...As you wish."

Nene immediately smiled at him as she held the newfound pitcher in her arms. She tried her hardest not to giggle in front of him.

"Nene and Amane both leaned in for a chaste kiss and as their lips touched they could feel the sparks-"

Suddenly the girl's little brother interrupted, "Hold it, hold it, what is this? Are you trying to trick me? Where's the sports?... Is this a kissing book?"

"Wait, just wait"

"When does it get good?" Her brother looked at his older sister, rather disappointed that he had been lied too

"Keep calm. Let me tell the story."

The girl continued telling her story. "Amane had no money for marriage, so he packed his few things and left the farm to seek his fortune across the sea. It was a very emotional time for Nene.

The young boy in front of her rolled his eyes and said "I don't believe this."

__________________________

Nene was holding back her tears as she was in Amane's embrace. "I fear I'll never see you again"

Amane held her as if this was the last time he would, trying his best to keep a smile for her "Of course you will."

Nene felt the tears come out of her eyes as she kept talking. "But what if something happens to you?"

Amane left his warm hug with Nene and looked her in the eyes with a solemn but happy voice "Hear this now. I will always come for you."

Nene's voice could be heard as a tremble as she held back her tears even harder "But how can you be sure?"

Amane continues as he holds Nene's cheek in his hand. "This is true love, do you think this happens every day?"

Amane smiles at Nene and as her tears come out she smiles back a genuine smile. Nene kisses him and before Amane could melt fully in her touch she immediately hugs him.

"Amane didn't reach his destination"

The young boy's eyes widened hearing this.

"His ship was attacked by the Dread Pirate Roberts, who never left captives alive. When Nene got the news that Amane had been murdered..."
