She woke up and felt the side of her face. It was burning. She walked over to the mirror and saw that there was a bruise from where Seth slapped her.

She got dressed and headed downstairs. "Shit I forgot to do my homework." She mumbled to herself. She had about 20 minutes before she had to leave to get it done.

She grabbed all of her stuff and started working, She heard a rumble outside and she ran to the window. "Dammit Jimmy. I'm not going to get my homework done. She ran outside and he shut off the engine. "Why don't you have your stuff. I was gonna take you for a detour before school." Jimmy said. "I have homework that I didn't complete because of- you know." Autumn said.

"Oh, I could help you. I got mine done and we have the same classes." Jimmy said. She nodded and they walked in the house. They sat down at the table and started working. "Hey Autumn, I have to run to the store real- Mr. O'Dell?" Her dad asked.

"Sorry dad, he was helping me get my homework done since I didn't have time last night." She said. He huffed and waved goodbye as he walked out of the door.

"Anyways, it's time to leave." Autumn said. They packed up all of their stuff and went onto the bike. As they were driving they saw Danny and Ali go by in a nice, pale yellow car.

"Show off." Jimmy snickered. Autumn chuckled. When they got to the school, the boys were all looking at Jimmy with curiosity. "Where were you guys? You were supposed to be here 20 minutes ago." Tommy said.

"I got at her house and she said that she needed to get homework done so I helped her." Jimmy said annoyed. "Oh yeah, homeworkkkk" Johnny said. Autumn rolled her eyes and shoved Johnny, "Yes, homeworkkkk."

They all laughed and Jimmy and Autumn went to their class. On the way there, Ali walked past Autumn and shoved her.

Autumn tightened her fists but remembered what her mom told her, "Don't listen to what your dad says. Just breath and look away. You don't need to get into a fight over everything."

Jimmy looked down at her, "You ok?" "Yeah, just annoyed." She said. They went into their class and sat down. "We are changing seats so don't sit down. Jimmy, you are sitting with Marcia, Tommy you are by Chloe, Bobby you are by Nina..... and finally, Autumn, you are by Danny.

You have got to be fucking kidding me. I have to sit by Larruso.

She thought as she put her stuff down. Jimmy looked over at her and sighed. Danny sat down beside Autumn and moved his chair farther away.

She suddenly felt jealous of Marcia, but tried to pay attention to the class. At lunch they were all talking about the seating  arrangements in that class.

"That bitch made you sit by pretty boy?" Johnny said coldly. Autumn nodded and something cold and slimey went down the front of her shirt. She looked down and a big clump of cold refried beans was all over her shirt and lap. Autumn looked around and everyone was staring and laughing.

Jimmy stood up and started helping getting the beans off. Once they got the solid stuff off Ali strutted over, "Oops, didn't see where I was going." Without thinking Autumn punched her straight in the face. She landed with a big thud on the floor and the boys laughed.

"Miss Kreese, miss Mills, follow me." The guidance counselor said with a clipboard in her hand. Ali stood up and death-stared Autumn. "Girls, this is ridiculous. Getting into a fight in the cafeteria. Why would you do such a thing." The principal said.

Ali didn't answer and Autumn rolled her eyes. "Autumn, have anything to say?" The principal said by looking at her with caution.

"This all started because I wanted to be friends with Johnny Lawrence and his buddies. She started being rude to me, shoving me, and scoffing whenever I got something wrong in class."

Autumn said looking right at Ali. "Is this true miss Mills." The principal said. "Of course not sir. She was being rude to me just on the second day because I was friends with Danny." Ali said smirking when the principal looked away.

"I don't care that this is only the second week of school, you each have detention today. You both can leave now." He said and went back to typing on his computer. Autumn walked out first and the group was waiting for her. "What happened?" Johnny asked. "Did you get detention?" Bobby asked. "Did she get in trouble?" Dutch asked smirking.

"We both got detention. Ali lied straight to his face saying that I was being rude because she was friends with Larruso." Autumn rolled her eyes.

"Seriously? That doofus believed her?" Tommy said. Autumn shrugged and walked to her locker. After school she went to the office. "I have detention, where do I go?" "You and Mr. Odell are going to be in Mrs. Carkin's class. Room 103." The secretary said.

Mr. Odell? Jimmy got detention? Why didn't he tell me? She walked into the classroom and saw Jimmy.

"You got detention? Why didn't you tell me?" Autumn said putting her books down. Jimmy looked at her, angry.

"It happened last period because there was a substitute and she kept saying that karate was stupid and for little kids. That made me pissed so I started going off on her. She sent me to the principles and I got detention." Autumn raised her eyebrows and rolled her eyes.

"Hey Autum?" Jimmy whispered. Autumn shifted her body towards him, just realising that the teacher wasn't in here this whole time.

"Can you look at me?" Jimmy said nervously. Jimmy looked at her with a type of look in his eye she had never seen. It was like hunger, or lust. Jimmy grabbed her waist and pulled her closer, almost pulling her off the chair, and kissed her.

At first the kiss was shy, but it started to get heated. All of the sudden clicks of heels were echoing down the hallway. They stopped kissing and looked at eachother. When the door opened they grabbed books and pretended nothing happened.

Autumn kept looking at him in the corner of her eye, like she couldn't keep her eyes off of him.

After the detention bell rang, they both got up at the same time but didn't look at each other. They grabbed there stuff and walked down the hallway silently.

Once they got to his bike they finally spoke, "so, what happened back there?" Autumn asked. "Uh, I don't know. But I honestly feel stupid for doing it." Jimmy said. "Why?" "Because I know you wouldn't like me. You probably have a boyfriend from your old school and don't have any interest in me." Jimmy said.

"Thats not true. I have liked you since the first time you spoke to me. You are sweet and caring. Anyone would be lucky to call you their boyfriend." Autumn said, smiling at the blushing boy.

"Then why don't you call me it?"
