The night was young, darkness had swallowed the city whole. Most of the lamp posts had lightbulbs that went out weeks earlier, those that did have working bulbs were either nowhere near the city or shedding light on a vacant area. Ever since Walter Guffmin was elected govenor of Athens, Ohio, this city has slowy started to rot away, along with people, and sanity...
Seventeen murders, seven disappearances, and three suicides in the past two months makes Athens the most dangerous city in all of Ohio, and one of the most dangerous city in the nation. Most people fear being murdered in the middle of the night in their own home, others have a fear of getting shredded into hundreds of pieces in an industrial shredder in broad daylight. Though some people choose to stay, to bare through the horror, the insanity, the inhumanity, to witness unspeakable things, to commit unthinkable actions, either to themselves or those around them. Though very few stay, because they can't leave...
This wicked town has seen more crime and death than any other, with its population decreasing drastically by the week, slowly decaying, until nothing is left. In a matter of years, it'll no longer be Athens, but instead, the planet's largest graveyard, growing larger and larger until it suffocates the world under a tombstone. One would think maybe this town is hell on earth, to others just a fantasy, a rumor, but to those in Athens, who haven't been infected with the damned plague, it is a never ending nightmare. What is this damned plague you ask? The plague of Satan himself, the plague of eternal damnation in Athens, where those who have sinned will live and die in torture, and ressurect as a blood sucking demon from hell. Once you have been damned with the plague, there is no escaping your eternal damnation, no church nor holy water can save you, no pope or father can clense your soul, and not even God himself, can save you. Once you've been damned, there's no escaping it, your soul belongs to him now, like it or not. This plague doesn't come to anyone, though, this plague comes to those who has not been forgiven for their sins, for those who have disgraced their creator, to those who have rejected their religion, and especially, the selfish. This plague isn't a punishment, instead a consequence for the actions of the living, created by the dead, and enforced by the Dark Prince.
