Jor-El took a deep breath to calm himself down "I'm sorry you're right Lara let us-" he was cut off by the door
"Halt! open this door this instant!!" a metallic voice said behind the door
"quick!! hurry!! are you done preparing the necessary preparations for the ship?" Jor-El asked as he prepared the crystals and the necessary preparations for the ship while Lara put their infant son inside the space ship
"I love you Kal" Lara Zor-El said softly as she kissed her son's forehead affectionately as tears escape from her eyes
"Lara I've got the hyper space coordinates lock in once he gets to earth he'll be safe" Jor-El said as he finish preparing the ship
"it's done" Lara said as she wiped her tears away from her eyes as Jor-El waked forward embracing his wife while holding back his own tears
"Lara I could send you with him, there is a risk but if I have time to recalibrate the course-" he was cut off as his wife puts her hands oh his cheek affectionately as she tried to hold back her tears
"no my love we don't have much time left just save our son" Lara said sadly as she looked down trying to hide her tears
"we have to do this it's the only way for him to survive" Jor-El said sadly as he rubbed his wife's back soothingly comforting her
"I know, I know" Lara said as she sobbed in his chest 'it just that I won't be able to see him grow up, I won't be able to see him speak his first word, his first walk, I won't be in his life and I can't be the mother that he needs" Lara said as Jor-El finally shed some tears unable to hold them back much longer
they were suddenly interrupted as they snapped out of their broken state as they looked towards the now broken doorway with five humanoid looking android holding some of ray gun towards them
