The carpet underneath your feet felt cold and unwelcoming as you circled around the room in deep thought.

It's been a week or so since Kayden's disappearance, not a single trace, not a single rumour, no nothing. The last thing you got from Kayden was something about fighting one of the top 10 rankers as he gave you fleeting kisses before walking out the door. You know Kayden's alive because if he wasn't your tattoo on your ankle would fade, so where the hell is the bastard?

He better not be cheating on me with some random chick.

You were sleep derived, the circles under your eyes grew with every hour you stayed awake, the tension of Kayden's disappearance was driving you crazy, and the glow of the hotel room's light was making you dizzy, well-made bed behind you looking more and more tempting, yet whenever you laid down, your mind ran circles, making you get up again only to walk circles around the room, desperately digging up ways to contact him.

Walking towards the balcony door, you decided to rid yourself of the stuffy room you were in, sliding open the glass door, the harsh wind sprinted through the gaps of the tall buildings, whistling through the holes of the railings as street life neverendingly went on below you. Yet it was surprisingly refreshing, you had no idea how long you spent in that sickly warm hotel room, walking about like some mad women, now, it seemed the wind had finally whipped some sense in you.

Suddenly, a particular strong gust of wind was hurled towards you, feeling your hair fly to one side of your hair and a particular sensation of cold metal and a rattling on your ear.

That's it, why didn't you think of it before? Y/n you dumbass.

Unclipping the small sapphire jewellery, you admired the blue glint reflecting the livid city lights below you before muttering to yourself.

"Guess he did leave me something useful, to think I would actually use this thing."

Taking in a long breath, you placed the earring into your pocket before zipping it, stepping up onto the ledge of the balcony, you closed your eyes before tumbling into the streets below. (DO NOT DO THIS AT HOME, PLEASE!!!!!)

The air around you gave you a burst of adrenaline, free falling from the top floor of an hotel to the neon lights of a busy street below wasn't exactly your plan, but it sure wasn't a mistake, the air pressure around your falling figure made your eyes shine a gleeful madness.

"Hawk of the eye, be my wings."

In a split instant, your fall was stopped by a pair of blackened claws clutching onto your shoulders, zooming upwards to the skyscraper roofs.
