"Bye, muri-nii! Dont stress yourself at work." Y/N bid goodbye to her step-sister. Whistling with the birds and relaxing with the winds. Leaves rustled and crunched as she stepped and kicked them. "Wonder what made me so happy. Maybe its because of him." She giggled. "Because of who?" Y/n squeaked and froze as the mysterious person stood behind her. Who the hell?... She thought. "Y/N, you okay? Who was the 'him' you were talking about?" She slowly turned abd made eye contact with a familiar maroon(?) Eyes. She quickly let out a relieved sigh before looking at him with a smile. "No one. Just a family member!" She lied but baji didnt seem to notice as he smiled at her back. "Oh. Thought it was someone else." He had to admit, he wished it was him. The two continued to have a chitchat as they walked until a girl with short yellow hair with red tips and a super short skirt stopped them. Her tops wasnt fully buttoned on the top, almost showing her breast to the world. "Kei-chan~ why are you hanging out with this loser y/n? Come on! Lets walk together." She said with a sweet tone. Baji only glare at her as he pulled a confused y/n behind him. It looked like a knight shielding a princess away from the dragon. "Leave her alone, ai." He tightened his grip on y/n's hand and deepened his glare at ai. "Hmm?~ i told you to call me by my first name. Miko is what you should call me, mkay love?" She purred as she cupped his cheeks only for baji to slap it away. Y/n could only watch their interaction with a confused expression. "Baji-san! Baji-san!" She called out in a hushed tone. Baji hummed in response, eyes not leaving ai. "You know her?" She whispered. Baji nodded, pulling her close to him. "Shes a desperate slut I found on the streets." "Aka his ex-girlfriend. So back off him if you dont want me to worsen your beating." She faked a smile, squinting her dead eyes at y/n. She shivered at the cold stare and looked away, nodding her head. She pushed baji away, muttering a small apology before running away. Baji stood there, still processing what she said. "You...you beat her?..." He murmured, clenching his fist. A shadow covered his face as he stared at miko. She only smirked, amused at how he reacted. "Yes, I do." She grinned proudly. She placed her hand on her hips and leaned towards him. "She was too cute to just roam around. I had to let her find her purpose." Huh? Baji just stared not moving an inch and the girl chuckled. "Why so protective? You have a crush on her or something?" She laughed...

Maybe a punch will be fine. He though.

Grabbing her by the collar and pulling her towards him, he raised his fist and punched her on a nose, making sure to not put all his strength on his punch. Miko shrieked in pain as she kicked baji, making him drop her on the ground. "Y-You...You ruined my face!" She screamed at him. "Come near her again and I will let toman deal with you." He said in a dark voice. A threatening aura surrounded the two and miko shivered. She got up quickly before running away.

Baji ran towards y/n, pulling her by the shoulder. She fell with a squeak but instead of hitting the ground, she hit a hard chest. She looked up and saw baji, looking down at her as he panted. Y/n tried to stand up but baji quickly wrapped his hands around her. "P-Please stay away from me!" She pleaded with fear in her voice. His heart shattered seeing her like this. "Dont worry about her. I'll make sure she wont get near you again." He felt Y/N slightly pulling his hands and he tightened his grip. "So, please dont stay away from me. I made a promise to your sister, y'know? Told her that I'll protect you until we separate and I'm not one to break promises." He felt tiny droplet on his arms. She's crying. He thought. She tightened her grip on his arms and hid her face. "M-Muri-nii doesn't like it when you break promises, so you're gonna regret that." She quietly whispered that baji almost couldnt hear it. She tried to pull baji away but he turned her around and buried his face on her neck. Y/n stiffened, feeling his hot breath hitting her neck. I told you, didn't I? 'm not one to break promises." Her face flushed but she didnt dare to speak or move. This was a once in a life-time experience. No one has ever made her feel safe.

Baji inhaled her scent. just like strawberries. He thought. He pulled her even closer.
