chapter one

                        cole's pov

"nope, sorry but you know i never ever watch anything you send me." i say as i shrug my shoulders.

"yeah well maybe you should because you are a fag." kaiden says proudly.

"says the fag" i reply back with a very needed dramatic eye roll. why is kaiden so hyper in the morning my god.

every morning me and kaiden meet up at 8am (30 minutes before school starts) so that i don't have to deal with all of the loudness and chaos in the hallways because if i were to send myself straight into that first thing in the morning i would have a meltdown. well that's why i'm there that early, kaiden has always left their house early so that they could be here earlier but im not sure why.

"what do you have first period?" a voice interrupts my thoughts.

"uhh i think nothing as a i have to show a new student around, normally i would have biology so im not complaining." i smile about not having to go to biology, god i fucking despise bio.

"you lucky bitch. i have history, and oh my god guess what it's in the room where we first met!!"

"no way!?"

"yes way" kaiden replies slyly.

in year 7 (6th grade) me and kaiden met in a history classroom that was being used for after school detentions. it was only an hour but the teacher that was going to hold the detention decided to never show up. me and kaiden were in the same form group but never talked to each other until that day. we threw my lip balm at a wall and people were throwing chairs at each other and all types of random shit. safe to say that detention was fire. at the end of the detention someone walked in and asked what we were doing and other people that were there explained to the teacher what had happened. the teacher was pretty chill about it and let us all go a few minutes early. if anyone was wondering what i got the detention for it was because i had gotten caught swearing on the first day of year 7, safe to say it wasn't a great start to the year of a new school. god knows what kaiden did to get into detention but im glad we both did because if we weren't there that night, we wouldn't be friends.

half an hour goes by and our tutor starts taking the register. some random girl, oh never mind it's the new girl. she is jaw droppingly stunning. (idk if that's a word)

"you must be our new student" mr jones (our form tutor) says loudly.

the strange girl nods shyly and doesn't dare to look anywhere but the floor.

"take a seat next toooo cole please, cole wave so billie can see you"

"cool her name is billie theres no way she's not gay" i think to myself and wave so billie can see me.
i sit at the very back of the classroom in the corner on my own because well my tutor hates me. im quite an annoying and loud person i think but sometimes very shy hence why i used to get bullied all the time. i still do get bullied but ive learnt to stick up for myself and sometimes others in the same situation.

"hi, my name is cole, what's yours?"
of course i already knew it was billie because mr jones had said it but i wanted to make a good impression to her.

"um billie" the blue haired girl spoke softly.

"i love your name. do you want me to show you around? miss thomas asked me too yesterday because she thinks we will get along and im not mad that she di-"

"sure" the small girl said stopping me from rambling on.

"okay let's walk and talk because i wanna introduce myself and i like talking. my name is cole heaven, my favourite colour is red, i talk a lot, i don't like loud noises so i normally wear my earplugs or ear defenders when it gets loud oh and im autistic and im gay"

"oh um cool my name is billie o'connell, my favourite colour is purple and im also autistic"

theres something about her. she seems so different it's crazy and i love it. god shes so cute and small i just wanna take care of her and protect her already. she didn't say she was gay though. maybe she's straight. maybe she actually just isn't ready to tell people shes gay. i don't know.

"you don't talk much do you" i asked as billie shook her head no.

"well that's okay i talk a lot so we could like cancel each other out, i also have another friend who is also autistic and she goes non-verbal sometimes so that's okay."
